THIRTY FIVE (She doesn't remember)

The following morning, Mia woke up to the bright sunlight filtering in through the windows. She stretched and yawned as she opened her eyes, her head pounded, but there was something different about the room she was in and that was her interest at the moment. The bed seemed larger, the room too. Realization soon dawned on her and she gaped around, this wasn't her room, and she knew it.

The room was massive and painted in beige and cream, giving it this luxurious feel. The sunlight came in through the arched floor to ceiling windows with grey curtains drawn open and white drapes hanging in between. From there, one could easily get a beautiful view of the gardens.

Just on the left side of the master's bed and in front of the windows was a beautiful, blue chaise longue.

The room had a massive stone fireplace, a massive television above it and an impressive chandelier hung from the ceiling.

The bed looked fit for a masters bedroom, Mia could tell the quality of the fabric by just looking at it. The floor was cover in beige carpeting, accentuating the beauty of the room.

As Mia continued staring at the supposed heaven she had found herself, she was brought back to reality by someone clearing their throat, she immediately turned and came face to face with Ethan who had his hands folded, leaning handsomely on the door frame.

"You're finally awake." He smirked.

"You!" Was the first thing that escaped her lips,

"How did I get here?" She mumbled as she tried to remember,

"You drunk dialed me remember?" He grinned as he walked in.

"I didn't ask you to bring me to your house—"

"I didn't ask you call me when you're drunk or not give me an address either." Ethan retorted,

"Tch!" Mia tutted as she crossed her arms,

"Why drink alcohol if you can't handle it, just a shot of tequila and you were already acting like a possessed person…You should be careful about the places you go to—"

"Yes Mother!" Mia replied sarcastically,

"Tch!" He tutted, "You really don't remember anything from last night do you—"

"Why? Did I do something stupid?" She replied,

"Never mind." He sighed,

"Oh I do remember seeing that jerk face of yours in my dream—"

"It was—"

"Miss Anderson!" Noel cut in as he excitedly ran into the room,

"You're finally awake!" He grinned as he ran on to the bed and gave Mia a hug.

"Awn Little Man, how did you know I was here?" Mia chuckled as she hugged him back.

"I saw the door opened this morning, and Daddy was in here, he said you weren't feeling well so you called him to come pick you up." He smiled innocently.

"Y-Yeah." Mia chuckled as she tossed Ethan a death glare.

"Are you feeling better now?" Noel immediately asked as he touched her forehead,

"Y-Yeah, I'm feeling better, all thanks to your dad." She feigned a smile.

"So Miss Anderson, what are you doing on Christmas?" He asked,

Mia nearly laughed,

"How bold, well I haven't thought of it—"

"It's my birthday, and Daddy's is throwing me a party, and I wanted to specially invite you." He smiled,

"Oh wow! Congratulations Noel, you're turning six right?"

"Uh-huh." He grinned,

"Not so little anymore aye little man?" She chuckled,

"Tell you what, I'll be there no matter what, just tell me exactly what you want—"

"…I haven't thought about it yet."

"Tell, you what, once you've thought about it, you let me know okay?"

"Yes!" Noel nodded,

"Miss Anderson, since you called Daddy, does that mean you're friends now?" He beamed.

"Um…" Mia's voice trailed off as she looked to Ethan for his help.

"Okay, that's enough kiddo, you should go downstairs for breakfast." Ethan immediately told him.

"Okay, see you later Miss Anderson." He smiled as he ran off.

The duo waited in an awkward silence till they were sure he was out of ear shot.

Ethan began first,

"…So you really do not remember what happened light night—"

"Why do you keep asking that, did I do something wrong!" Mia snapped,

"Hey! If you're going to get drunk and forget, then don't! Before you make a life changing mistake." He told her.

At that moment, the atmosphere tensed and Mia's demeanor changed. Suddenly she got off the bed, grabbed her purse and quickly wore her shoe.

"I should be on my way now." She mumbled as she quickly passed him and out of the room.

"Huh? Did I say something wrong?" Ethan thought.

Meanwhile, on her way out, Mia bumped into Mrs Pena in the hallway.

"Mrs Pena!" Mia suddenly exclaimed,

"Oh Mia, I was just on my way to you." She began with a smile.

"Oh!—"

"How was your night rest, by the way, did you sleep well?" She grinned,

"Yeah." She nodded with an awkward smile.

"Good, so I was just about to come call you down for breakfast." She added,

"Oh, I would really love to, but I'm running late…Maybe some other time." She smiled as she hurriedly ran off.

She hurried down the stairs to the grand foyer, at the same time the butler swung the door open and a tall, elegant young lady walked in. She was slender and beautiful and had the looks of a supermodel, and for a moment, all Mia could do was stare at her, she quickly looked away as their eyes met and hurriedly walked out the door.

In her head, all she could think was,

"Who is that lady?"
