Surprise

"I would not go back." Aurora blurted out as soon as Eric told her that they were leaving for her island.

Eric, who had expected anything in the world but this from her, turned over towards her, utterly bewildered. "What did you say?" 

Aurora had immediately realized what she had just said. The thief inside of her was nagging her to say something to justify her earlier statement but say what? She was too blank to say anything else. There was no reason for her to stay here and she had always been persistent about going back since the start so what was she even able to say now?

"What is it?" He narrowed his eyes as he asked her again. She seemed to be torn in saying something or staying silent and it was making him curious, something that he was always around her. 

"I want to see your cows first. And your farms too," That was all her brain managed to think at that time.
