Intimate

'Did he just give me his cape?' She looked down at his hands that were tying the knot of the cape's straps around her shoulders. 'Is he really capable of any kind of kindness or am I being delusional?'

It took her a few moments to realize that she was a little or maybe a lot closer to him than necessary and as soon the realization hit her she immediately took a few steps back, her back getting pressed against the edge of the ship in the process.

"This will keep you warm. You can go ahead and sleep peacefully. It will probably take the whole night to reach the shore." He turned around to adjust the sails whilst telling her that.

However, Aurora on the other side was twisting and churning her fingers as she looked around to absorb the vast hem of the Blue Ocean in her doe eyes. The silver glimmer in her eyes was popping under the moonlight as she did so.

Seemingly she had gotten a chance. He wasn't looking. She wasn't cuffed to him anymore. He was almost a few meters away from her and was climbing on the deck. She was just on the edge.

Now was the time!

Slowly her hands shot up to the knotted straps and she carefully untied them, her eyes dug into his back that was facing her all this time. Her breath was becoming heavy as she carefully dropped the cape to the ground and the next moment a loud splashing noise caused Prince Eric to roll his eyes and chuckle.

"Why did I expect anything less, Princess?" He mumbled to himself, clearly amused as he took out his dagger and stuck it in between the wheel before jumping in the water himself. It was just as dark as the night in there and there was no sign of the Princess anywhere. He closed his eyes and as soon as he opened them back, they had turned to a gold hue with flickers of red in them. His eyes were like a torch that were illuminating his path.

Instead of going in any other direction, he started swimming deeper in the ocean. His assumptions turned out to be true when he saw a silver tail a little away from him, shining like a pearl in the dark water. It was sawing up and down like a snake and was quite fascinating to look at. He had never really seen a mermaid swimming in open waters before. However, he had heard quite a lot about their tails. According to what he had heard, each one of them possessed unique and very beautiful tails that were coated richly with pearls and expensive sea stones of all sorts. It was the major source of greed for humans beside their unordinary appearances.

But, now that he was seeing her tail, it was quite ordinary or maybe bland compared to the others he had seen back at the island. There wasn't anything above her scales as well however they were illuminated in the dark that was lighting up the darkness around her. That way he could see her even more clearly.

He could swim very fast compared to his human companions but she was definitely faster so he needed to hurry in order to catch her. They were merely at a few hands distance when Aurora felt presence behind him. Startled, she tried to look behind her but that turned out to be her biggest mistake because as soon as she slowed down a little, Eric's hand grasped her fin and now she was dragging him along with her. She tried to move her tail from right to left, up and down but he wasn't letting go by any means. Instead, she felt his other hand snaking around the base of her tail and soon his arms were around her butt.

'Such an indecent creature. Let go of me!' She wanted to scream but only bubbles came out of her mouth that caused her to choke trying to talk underwater.

Though Sirens have a very high tolerance to stay underwater for much longer periods of time still the oxygen isn't enough and they need to come on the surface from time to time. With the depth of the ocean increasing, the levels of oxygen were starting to deplete even lower. She was surprised how the human hadn't fallen unconscious yet. She needed to keep trying for a little more until he became weak, thinking that she started struggling once again. Her tail had started hurting and her fins were sore as well but when running from death, pain isn't an obstacle anymore.

Eric was holding onto her tail but it was too slimy and slippery; cherry on top, her wiggles. The upper part of her dress was still on her torso but the lower half was torn apart during shifting due to her tail being much bigger than her little legs. He grasped onto the fabric of the top but his hand had landed onto a flower instead which plucked off right away as it was barely sewn on. However, he was prepared for that thus immediately he scrunched the whole fabric in his hand and pulled it backwards.

She was moving like a rocket in the water but with his pull, she was dragged behind easily and he also slid forward gaining help from the pull. She came to settle right in his arms and now that his arms were around her clothed upper half, it wasn't slippery anymore and she was firmly pressed against him with no room to escape.

'How hasn't he given up yet?' She thought as her silver eyes smoldered into his gold ones. He didn't look even near to fainting and there was no difference in the firmness of his grip which meant he was still completely awake and alright.

Her arms were also entrapped in the cage of his arms so all that she could think of doing was to start spinning round and round with the intention of making him dizzy so that he may let her go. But to her dismay, he had held onto her even more tightly by wrapping his legs around her tail as her fins rotated in the water like a fan.

They were suddenly in a very intimate position for a Siren; however, Eric doesn't know about it. Blood started rushing up her cheeks but trying not to let that get to her, she spun with even more speed than before. The temporary dressing that Victor had made for his wounds flew off and blood started leaking out of them, spreading in all directions.

In their fight, both of them were unaware of the fact that there was a pair of deep red eyes that had woken up due to the tempting scent of his fresh blood and were now moving towards them…
