Grinning from ear to ear as she joined the two middle aged women, Laura poked her fingers out, "Three jobless grandmas. Not two."
Sebastian who had been quiet since, stood up with a bottle of drink in his hand, "Don't tell me you guys are gonna fight for who's babysitting first because am gonna take Nick to work everyday if I could."
They burst into laughter almost choking on their drinks.
"Seb," Ryan took the tissue from his wife as he wiped his mouth while giggling, "I can see your importunity towards him so soon. But I'll tell you one thing, just be patient, Jin will drop soon. Then you can take all your babies with you to meetings if you wish."
The moment he mentioned her name, his expression became neutral. How would he get a space to clear his head when her name is always revolving in his brain? He loved her and will forever always do. But he needed to be left alone for some time. Just because of some odd reasons.
"Ah, speaking of Jin," Laura looked around. It's going to be her first time to shake hands with her and she's not here. "Where is she?"
Petra didn't wait for her son to speak as she already bounce into the question, "Laura, she has some work to finish in the office. But promise to come later in the day to see the baby."
Meanwhile there was one person who wasn't in good mood to know that she's coming over after casting revenge on her brother. Nelly. She rolled her eyes and hissed silently. She better remain where she is and don't come or else she don't know what she might do to her.
Laura is the only absent minded person who doesn't know about what happened at the hospital last night. But when Elsa whispered into her ears, she gasped.
No wonder Sebastian had been seated a distance from them. Wanly with a sad expression.
The visit for the newborn became a little naming ceremony as the family ate together, dine, laugh, gist, share and express happiness to the new parents and child. Though Sebastian's expression was quite recognize as he didn't show it out so easily. Deep inside of him, he was broken. Whiles after, he took out his phone from his pocket to spare at the time. It was evening already. Then he took out another of his phone and went to a corner as he dialed some numbers.
"Boss," The person on the other side answered.
"Is she back yet?"
"No sir,"
"Why? She usually don't stay long on outdoors." He frowned. "Did you confirm from the company if she's still there?"
"Yes boss, I did and was told that she had left few hours ago."
"Hmm," He brushed his chin. "Alright," And hang up.
He joined the ceremony to make a little excuse that he was leaving and will come visiting some other time. Thereafter, they exchanged hugs and warm pecks on the cheeks before he left. Petra wanted to come alongside with him as she kept her almost empty bottle on the table but he told her to stay with the family for a little while. She can return home today or maybe next. The baby needs some new friends whereas his new families too.
