Mend

Days passed by.

Cadmus felt as if he had only barely started to relax. He was going to start attending classes soon with Blair.

For the most part, life for everyone settled into a contented rhythm. 

Cadmus would rise early in the morning, but not intolerably so, and Blair would make breakfast for both of them. They would eat together while discussing the work ahead of them, then they would go their separate ways. Cadmus would attend business meetings, and Blair would carry out other chores. 

Her parents would drop by every now and then, and so would their friends. Whoever got to Blair first would be the one she ate lunch with. On some occasions, she would gather them all to eat together, but that would sometimes result in a heavy atmosphere.

Cadmus and Blake could get along again if only they wished to. That led Blair and Irina to comment that they probably actually enjoyed being unpleasant to each other.
