Stuck

Cadmus sat there in ponderous silence, still not taking his eyes off Blair.

He'd hung out at restaurants with his clique at school before, and sometimes, with people from their class as well. They always insisted he pay, and they came from fairly wealthy families themselves. But then, here she was, a commoner, and even she was paying for her own things.

"You know, anyone else would jump at the chance to have a Mondragon pay for them." He flashed her a proud smirk, wanting to know just how far he could push it until she gave in. "It's kind of an honor in high society."

"Well, I'm not really part of high society, am I? Besides, does it really matter who pays for it? Also, have I ever been predictable?" She bombarded him with questions, and all of them made perfect sense.

"Order for Mr. and Mrs. Winifred-Mondragon!" called someone from the counter, making Cadmus flush burning crimson.
