for his magics i hope you dont only focus on zhongli and jellals heavenly bodies magic, especially since starlight magic has so much more potential then just the standard meteor magic that jellal uses it for(no offence) as i said earlier in the story you could use starlight for more then just direct heavenly body magic but also as concept magic and tie an actual entity to some of his spells like the zodiacs, or even conjure stuff trough the solidification of the magical elements, earth magic could also be used for Alchemy from fullmetal since acording to the FMA story its the tectonic plates that shift that creates the energy to utilise alchemy, since he has magic from gaia it would mean it is so much more then just earth magic, and could even potentially include Nature itself and there for Alchemy as well, and before someone says thats not possible, dont forget that the skills themself said that our mc has to make it himself, meaning anything mc thinks could work and so long as it has something to do with those 2 specific skills it should be able to work, meaning the star magic, could mean heavenly bodies, starlight, zodiacs, and a few others. the loved by gaia could mean not just earth but nature as well, it could tie in to so much more then just simple earth magic, it could also be used for magma,sand,iron,nature(wood),gravity and even alchemy as long as the mc can make the connection to it

Personally I have never heard of hunters using a spear it's always a bow and arrows for hunting anything else makes zero sense considering how strong animals are be it with instinct or reaction speed a for hunting family it is beyond illogical to use a spear unless they teach him to use a spear as a secondary weapon

It would be better if the shield could be used as a counter like how the Black Panther suit accumulates energy from the damage it receives then explodes all that energy or the energy can be used for focused attacks.
