She took a deep breath and walked over to the sign she had seen, but when she stopped in front of the building and saw the name of the place, she froze.

Xu Anyi's expression stiffened as she walked to the front desk, where a woman stood with her back facing her, "Excuse me, are you hiring?"

The woman turned around, and Xu Anyi saw that the lady was probably in her late 30s, although it was hard to tell under her heavy makeup. The name 'Su Yan' was written on her small golden name tag, with the word 'manager' under it.

Su Yan looked Xu Anyi up and down, "Are you here to work in the Front or the Back?"

Anyone who knew Yihua knew what Su Yan was talking about. The Back were the waitresses and cleaning ladies, people who simply served the guests as workers. The Front were the room ladies who were paid to drink with the guests and make them happy, or the performers in the open bar.

"Back," Xu Anyi said without hesitation.

Su Yan raised an eyebrow and walked out from behind the desk, circling around Xu Anyi, "Do you come from the countryside?"

She frowned slightly at Xu Anyi's outfit, "You know the Front has a lot of opportunities, right? You will certainly make a lot more."

She held her fingers up and rubbed them against each other, ". . . and you can meet a lot more people."

"Back," Xu Anyi repeated herself, more firm this time.

Su Yan's expression stiffened, slightly surprised that this girl was so stubborn. She was only trying to get her to the front because she could see that this girl had some potential even through her disgusting clothes and hair.

Xu Anyi suddenly turned around and looked Su Yan in the eyes, "I want to work in the Back."

Su Yan took a step back, surprised by the fierce yet empty look in the girl's eyes, and she frowned, walking back to the desk as she pulled out a paper and pushed it over to Xu Anyi, "Fill this out."

Xu Anyi put down her bag and quickly filled the paper out.

She pressed her lips together as she handed the half-empty form back to the lady, who looked at it as her frown deepened, "You didn't fill it out."

"I don't have a previous occupation, and emergency contact information. . ." Xu Anyi looked up blankly, "Is that necessary?"

Su Yan must have realized that something was up with her, as she raised an eyebrow and did not press her any further, putting the form away, "Come to work at 8 tonight. It is a night job until after midnight."

Xu Anyi nodded, "Is there a worker's dorm?"

"It is the building behind here," Su Yan responded impatiently, opening a drawer filled with keys and pulling one out, "This room has three girls already, but there is an empty bed. You can stay there."

Xu Anyi found the room and stuck the key into the door to find that it wasn't locked.

She walked in to find a small cramped room with two bunk beds to the left and two large tables to the right. There were two girls sitting at the table and both of them were doing their makeup.

When they heard the door open, they turned around simultaneously, and they didn't seem very surprised to see Xu Anyi.

"Are you the new girl? Su Yan told us you would be coming," the girl sitting to the left said. She had long black curly hair and thick makeup on, and even though she was sitting, she did not forget to flaunt her curvy body.

"Hello, I'm Xu Anyi."

The two of them stood up, and both of them looked Xu Anyi up and down without a friendly expression. The girl to the right was short and cute with long, straight black hair and appeared like she was in her early 20s or even her late teens.

"Front or back?" The cute girl to the left asked, her light and high-pitched voice suitable for her appearance.

"Back," Xu Anyi replied.

After hearing that, their expressions lightened up slightly as the girl to the right introduced herself, "I'm Lin Xiaoxiao and she's Xin Tong. We work in the front," she said proudly.

At this moment, the door to the restroom opened and a third girl walked out, and she was much less eye-catching compared to the other two. She was slightly surprised when she saw Xu Anyi, but she quickly realized what was going on.

"Hello, I'm Lan Yu," she said very softly.

Xu Anyi nodded at the three of them and then made her way to the empty bed, which was in the corner of the room at the top of the second bunk bed. She threw her bag onto the bed and was about to climb up to get some sleep when there was a knock at the door.
