Dr. Wrong

"What?" Cora scoffed. "There is no reason for that."

"I just gave you the reasons," Rayth scowled.

"I can handle all of that just fine without any help from Dr. Wright," she shook her head. "There is nothing he can do for me. He doesn't understand humans at all anyway."

"He is one of our senior scientists here, Cora," Rayth glared. "He has spent hundreds of years in deep study to understand everything there is to know about every kind of creature that exists. I can assure you that he is most capable. Not to mention the obvious fact that you are not just a simple human. A simple human doctor would never suffice for your needs."

Cora swallowed uneasily, the rigidity of Rayth's response already indicating how she was not going to be able to get out of this. Sometimes he would soften or bend on requests when she pushed back, but this was clearly not one of those times.

"There is nothing wrong with me," she shrugged.
