Alex had left not so long ago, after giving me a quick kiss, to discuss with Matt and Luke where Ethan was.

There was no way that what had happened was not planned.

It reminded me of the college base, how it had all gone to hell too fast, too easily.

Someone out there was destroying every local base camp and I had a faint idea of who. Who else would want to ensure that the only dominant force in Oregon was themselves? Power-crazed lunatic, why had Master not killed him already?

"Luna," Holly hovered by the door, I pulled the blanket that Alex had given me to my chest. Though I was dressed, I felt really insecure and vulnerable.

From the amused grin on her face, there was no way she didn't know what I had just done.
