Turning on the sirens, he took a reverse and had a steady grip on the steering as he saw it veering towards the left more. He began to think about the possibility of him making it toward the station in the state he was in.
"I think there must be about fifty percent of air left. I have to make sure to get there in time, else the car would flip over soon", he muttered as he felt a sharp sting in his right bicep, which he was straining to have a hold on as the car veered towards the left more.
Using his wits, he knew that the amount of time he had left was mostly around seven minutes. He needed to reach the station within that time, and he decided to use a way that no one would use.
"The back streets. That is the only thing that would help me reach the place I need to in seven minutes. Let's just make sure that there are no hoodlums around there at this time of the day. I won't be able to deal with them in this state", he wished as he wiped his blood again.
\He veered a sharp right and took into an alley that was one of the back streets that were wide enough to fit the car. He was glad that he had no property damage from before, but then he remembered the blast that took place.
"They were prepared for something. And it seems that I was just a variable in a really big chessboard", he coughed as countless thoughts ran through his head. His vision blurred and began to turn red, and he wiped his sleeve again to clear the blood.
The corners of his vision began to turn black, and it was slowly reducing into a circle towards the center. He knew his condition was fatal, and he had to make it there in seven minutes. Once more, he coughed up and blood sputtered from his mouth.
"Wear your seatbelts, kids. The ride is going to get bumpy from here on", he announced as he shifted the gear, opened his glove box, and pulled out a bandage from within. Tying it to the steering wheel and using it to tug it towards the right, he popped his head out of the window to take a look at the condition of the tire.
With his vision turning hazy and his consciousness slipping in and out, he had to make sure that he had everything under control. That was when another warning appeared.

He chuckled as he thought of the situation he was in. He had five minutes, whilst the drive would take him a bare minimum of seven minutes. He pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed the only other person he knew besides Steven.
"Hello?"
"Listen. I don't have much to say. Come to the station as soon as you can. And bring an adrenaline shot and first aid stuff. I know you have those in the lab", he told her and felt his fingers give way, and it slipped from his hand to the ground.
Blinking his eyes twice, he put the car into the next gear and sped it up, and the only way he could survive something like that is an adrenaline shot that would keep his consciousness awake as the first aid was being made.
Miranda picked up the phone and turned it towards him, and it unlocked. She looked at him, wondering if he would give her any command.
"Send my live location to Sarah Forensics", he gave a curt nod and focused on the road. He couldn't let the kids know of his predicament about his consciousness, and the car began to slide toward the left.
Pulling the handbrake, he pulled a hard right, and the car slid across the tarmac beautifully as he passed through an intersection and gunned the car on a straight. The countdown was coming to nearly a minute, and he began to feel his vision widen for a moment.
The details that he was seeing were much clearer than before, and he could hear much more than he normally could. He felt his own heartbeat quicken, and his pulse at his wrist even without holding it.
"Final overdrive. A desperate effort of the brain to keep me alive. I have less than sixty seconds now", he thought as he pulled it right in front of the station, and the kids quickly got down and ran into the station.
Sarah came running towards him with a suitcase in her hand, and an injection in another. Just as she was about to massage his elbow to inject it, he snatched it from her. He plunged the needle into his left elbow and injected the medicine at high speed.

A smile spread across his face as he limped towards the station. He had an arm around Sarah as he walked back into the station, in nothing but a bloody mess. Sarah looked at him in horror, and at the way, he had injected the serum into him.
"Desperate situations. Desperate measures", he said as she sat him down, and began to tear his shirt was practically a mess. She saw all the scars from the knife fight he had, and the depth of each cut had variations in them.
"Just who in the world did you fight against?", she asked as she pulled out a cotton swab and began to clean away all the blood. While some of the cuts needed a couple of stitches, the rest were curable on their own.
The ones on his bicep had torn a few muscle fibers, and he over-straining it whilst driving the car made it tear more. She had one look and gave him a stern look, and he had a smile and turned his head towards the kids that were huddled with their mother, each of them sobbing.
His whole upper body was wrapped in multiple bandages, and there were some places that she had stitched off. The first ai had worked, and he saw something pop up in front of him.
