From The Best To The Worst! (Part One)

(5 Years Ago, in a bar)

"Man, that just hit the spot", said a muscular man as he wiped his mouth on his sleeve. In front of him was a man who had his hat lowered down to cover his face, and no one knew who he was.

"Now, they will be moving the shipment all over the country. You would need at least a minimum of five squads to catch them all. I have infiltrated deep, and only a little more time is needed to uncover their whole operations", said Steven, who was sporting long hair at that time.

The man on the opposite just nodded his head and kept mum as Steven kept on talking to him.

"So, I will give you five places to hit on the 2nd of October. And you must make sure to hit at the right time, and only then will we be able to get all the drugs that are going to be distributed in the city", he said in a whisper.

The man on the opposite pulled out a pen and pad, and he began to note down the names that were being said by Steven.

"Brixton Avenue, Trafalgar Square, Bloomsbury, Chelsea, and Holland's Park. These are the five places that were discussed last night, and from where the distribution will begin. I am not sure of the route yet, and I will find it out by next noon at the maximum", he said as he got up.

"Stay careful", said the man with the cap and left through the other door that was to the back of Steven. After exiting, he ran quickly across the road and got into a car, and drove away from the place.

"Now, I have to find out the routes that they would take, and then give it to the Chief. Then, I am sure I will be able to join the force again. Being undercover for almost three years is making me forget that I am a cop", he muttered as he stopped in front of a building.

He got off from the car and ran into the building, skipping a few steps as he ran the flight of staircases to reach his house. He unlocked the door and let himself inside, and looked around at the mess that was lying around.

"What happened here? I am sure no one knows about this place. Except me and…", he paused and began to look around frantically. The look in his eye changed, and despair began to take over, as he placed both his hands on his head.

"No no NO! They should not have found this out so soon. I was not followed, and they never suspected me. Then how?", he muttered under his breath as he began to look around, and he saw a note stuck to the wall with a knife.

"If there is so much as a slight hitch in the process, know that the woman will be killed", he read the note. Steven was beginning to lose his cool, and he pulled out his gun.

"I will not let them infest this generation with drugs. This drug bust will happen. And I will save her if that is the last thing I do", he said out loud as he clicked his gun into place. He rummaged through the drawers and pulled out two knives, and slid them into the pockets of his pants.

"Just wait. I will save you, My Beloved", he muttered as he left the building and got back into the car, slamming the accelerator and making a screeching sound. He gunned the car down the streets and reached the outskirts of the city.

He parked the car far away from the place that he wanted to infiltrate, it was a villa. He walked up to the gate and saw two people standing guard there, was began walking towards them.

"Open up. It's me, Eugene", he said as he walked towards them. The men lifted their hands above their heads, and he gave them a high five. He went past them, and the gat buzzed open.

After he entered the place, he walked around as he always would. After entering the house, he saw the boss he was spying on, and he had a wide smile on his face. The man looked at Steven, and his smile was more looking like a challenge to him.

"Did you receive the message?", asked the man to Steven. Steven was beyond angry the moment he heard that question. At first, he was skeptical if he was the one that did it, but now he was sure.

"Where is she?", he asked in a cold voice, and his hand went towards his pistol. The anger was clouding his brain, and he was picturing himself firing all the bullets in his magazine right through his chest.

But as part of his training, he was taught in controlling his anger, and that was helping him in keeping his cool at the moment. The man had a smirk and was taunting him more, but Steven held back successfully.

He grit his teeth and forced a smile on his face, as he knew the way they always taunted. Being undercover for three years had given him the ins and outs of every tactic they used, and he had even joined during an investigation of a mole twice.

"They can do whatever they want to me, but I will not let them lay a finger on her. She is innocent in all of this. She only knows my identity as a gangster, not a cop", he thought as pulled out a chair and sat on it, looking the boss in the eye.

He had a scar across his right eye, and he wore a white glove on his left hand. Sporting a black shining tux and a walking cane made of gold with a snake's head as the handle. He gripped the cane and shifted his gaze back at him.

"You see Eugene, we have been informed, by The Boss, that there might be a spy inside this place. And we were given three pictures to search from. We ransacked all three of your places, but we couldn't find any evidence that pointed you guys out", he paused.

The place he was in was a living room, which was dark and the fireplace had some wood burning in it, which gave an orange hue to both of their faces. The door to the back of his boss opened up, and two people were dragged out, whose faces were unrecognizable.

Steven had a look of shock on his face, as this was something that he didn't expect in the least. He always believed he was the only one undercover, but when he saw those two, he understood that this operation was much larger than he had believed it to be.
