Be Careful

"I'm coming with you," Ava said to Mason as he quickly got dressed to leave for the hospital. Ava got up from the bed and started to take off her nightgown.

"No. That won't be necessary," Mason objected as he put on his wristwatch and then grabbed his car keys.

"But..."

Mason came and kissed her lips. "I will call you," he said before dashing out of the bedroom.

Not long after Mason left, Ava received a text on her phone, it was from her mother, begging for them to meet.

Ava replied to her text, saying she would give her a call after she was done with her classes for the day.

She was supposed to discuss how she would be able to help her mother, with Mason. But with his grandfather's heart attack, she knew that would be the last thing he would want to talk about.

Ava decided she would have to find a way to help her mother, herself.

On her way to school, Ava stopped by the hospital to see how Mason's grandfather was doing
