Song for the Dead (1)

The royal guards stationed in Calaren Town had never seen such a massive herd of Night Critters and unseelie faes before. It was easy for them to deal with one or two darklings who got lost in their territory, but they had no idea how to deal with an army of them. Even the iron fences they used to separate the town from the woods weren't enough to stop the darklings from entering Calaren Town.

They had no idea how to defeat these darklings and could only watch in horror as the Night Critters and unseelie faes attacked the clerics while driving the townspeople away from their homes. Fire had also started somewhere and was quickly spreading due to the light materials being used to build their dwellings. It seemed like everything was burning down to ruins now.
