Just a little note. I saw the spelling error in your title and in the synopsis. I had to find a way to correct it. There's no such word as fictious. It's fictitious and fictitiously. Your MC is a character indeed. Good to see that the MC's voice is already developing from the start.
Ok. I found the word fictious after some research. Considered an obsolete word and not in common usage. Not a word encouraged for use in my part of the world, but then who knows? I suppose you could make this word well known again through your story. Playing with obsolete words is fun. So nevermind me. Continue. Please continue.
Interesting. I found this: Fictional, fictive, and fictitious all branch off the "fiction" tree, but fictional is literary, fictive is specific, and fictitious is just plain fake. And this: Fictional, fictitious, fictive, and factitious But I couldn't find the word 'fictious'. It could also be because we are from different parts of the world where accepted English words are different.
