Downhill Clash [4/4]

With Creig above him, he grabbed the hilt of his sabre.

There was a moment of hope in Junya's mind of Junya not having a weapon. This went through the window when he witnessed a sudden gesture of Creig into his uniform.

"You can't run forever!" He came from the sky like an eagle diving onto a rabbit.

Clang! SwoooSh!

Junya turned around in a split second and blocked the strike from the sky. A strong gust of winds came from the impact of both blades. He never started a power struggle and retreated the moment he had the chance, using the shockwaves as momentum to pick up back his speed.

His feet carried a streak of mist that propelled him forward. Immediately catching back up to Junya flanking from his left.

The two exchanged a flurry of blows, Junya parrying all that he could, making the exchange spark with embers. It was heated, Creig powerful attacks were fueled by his anger and desire to keep his business going and also fear to seem incompetent to his benefactor.

Clang Clang Clang!

Knicks and cuts formed from the winds from both their blades. The intensity required a precise range of motion which was difficult for the high speed they were going.

A normal person could only see all four of them travelling as a streak.

"You can't handle it!" His short blade swung past Junya's heart, giving his hair a close shave.

A glare appeared in eyes of Junya who had been on the defensive until now. His muscles tensed gripping the sabre tighter, he swung his sabre through the drawing a perfect crescent formation in the air.

The sudden attack alerted him to twist his body making the strike fly past his chest. He never became surprised and countered with a strike to the chest which ground Junya's blade edge.

Their ferocity continued throughout the forest shaving trees of all their limbs, while Junya zoomed through the forest trying to shake him off.

Unfortunately, Creig was fast in his own right and had no problem with slicing trees in half to get through to Junya on the other side. He had an uncanny ability to track Junya anywhere he went.

'All he's doing is parrying my attacks! Is he really planning to finish the trial even with me chasing him?! Tch, fine, Well see how he likes it when I use my ability' Creig was carefully planning until the moment he would show his hand.

In their fight, they were evenly matched in speed and power. Reig was ruthless in his attacks, which just made Junya's defence seem all the more impressive.

Moreover, he wasn't skilled with a sabre, this meant someone with knowledge of the weapon would be able to spot his weakness without much effort.

Junya was crafty with his strike sometimes sending blows that would lop off Creig's fingers, which weren't many, this made him conscious about losing his fingers.

A mighty slash using all his strength swinging his short knife. This made him generate the strongest attack he could without using an ability. The slash looked like a table saw coming down on Junya breaking all the trees in its way.

Junya grabbed his sword with both hands. He turned his body keeping his feet on the ground making him slide on the ground while going backwards, he showed no sign of hesitation he unleashed two wind strikes, putting them together forming an 'X'

Creig's attack crashed into his own wind slashes, yet they didn't even manage to neutralize the attack blowing through them with ease. Continuing toward Junya.

He never panicked, only lifting his sword in front of him and blocking the blow. Immediately the force started pushing him back even faster. Creig seized this moment and reached him nearly an instant later, raising his short sword in the air.

Surprised by his quick thinking, Junya tensed his body pressing his toes into the ground for more balance, he found his bearing and tensed his muscles to the extreme and parried the blow between them.

Boom!

Confusion ensued as the action kicked up dust all around them, making it hard to know where they both were. His slash missed by a mile and Junya took off from the site, hoping to make more distance between them.

He was tired, panting heavily from the constant evasion he was doing. Creig felt the same since he was using his blessing nonstop. Sweat dripped down the face of both men, not even daring to close their eyes from the burning sensation.

They both had the same idea, with them both exiting the smoke at the same time. Immediately that entered a crazed melee, with swords sparking at every move.

A time passed and they both started to understand each other's fighting styles a little better. Creig blade was smooth and acted like the wind, carving through like a plane.

Wenji's fighting style was heavily reliant on defence and never attacked, rarely leaving himself open to attacks.

After more confrontations, Creig gave up his aggressive style of attack. The distance was running down until they reached the premises and he became even more calculated, watching his dodging pattern and increasing his speed to match his.

He was like someone stalking their prey. Junya never cared for his sudden change in attitude and simply continued onward.

He doubted they would chase them all the way onto the school premises, so his plan was still the same. Without losing any speed, he looked over to his right to look at Wenji's situation.

Wenji was a mess, his face was bloodied and his arm had been broken numerous times already. Still, within a time short amount of time, they all repaired themselves, back to his peak condition.

Most of his fight was getting punched forward, getting healed, and then continuing to run. While it wasn't his preferred way of fighting, it was all he could do. If he threw a punch at to counter his arm would be broken in several places making his energy wane faster.

He was getting pummeled without any regard.

This was Jack's plan, he was really bulky, so his mind naturally thought to smash him enough times and his ability would wear out from lack of energy since it would impossible to keep his ability active for much longer.

His reasoning was rudimentary, yet it made sense and it was proving difficult for Wenji to overcome with his own smarts and common sense.

'My Ability is wearing out and this guy looked like he has the stamina of a bull, I can't compete with this!'

Boom!

Another punch rocketed into his back sending him flying at the same speed. His body flipped multiple times before he got back up on his feet and started running. At first, he looked it looked awkward since his shoulder blade was broken, and he couldn't move his arm.

Soon it was healed and he was back at full speed, after chugging potions to lengthen his stamina and his abilities effect.

Looking back he could see Jack gaining on him once more. It was easy to tell what would happen again and another punch would put him near his limits.

He didn't like the thought very much, he would have accepted his beating and healed himself afterwards, but now he was already too deep, showing his Ability, Rune of Geia was already more than he was willing to do. However, losing after using his secret move was unacceptable.

'Dammit! Since you're really forcing me, I might really have to show you my Trap card!'
