For the second trial, I was being sent on a completely different one than everybody else. They basically did the same thing as last time just with higher bounties.
I on the hand was going to be sent on a mission to kill an entire band of pirates who had raided a marine base and stolen 3 Ryō Wazamono, or Skillful Grade Swords, and 1 Ō Wazamono, or Great Grade Swords.
This was going to be similar to the mission that Rob Lucci was sent on in the future where he had to kill an entire pirate their hostages to not show the weakness of the world government.
I guess since I was showing more promise at a much earlier age they thought that this would be a good stress test for me, the Terror Blast Pirates.
After all, they did only find out who I was after I did something similar to the Shark Eaters gang, so I assume they thought I would be familiar enough with the process to be capable of repeating it.
Since this was going to be a simulation of what I was going to be doing for the World Government in the future I was going to be given information about them instead of going in blind.
So there were 3 main threats on the ship, Captain Roland the Butcher, First Mate Terrian the Grey, and their swordswoman Katerina the Swift.
Roland was dangerous as he was a proficient axe wielder and he had a devil fruit called the rampage-rampage fruit which increased his physical stats the longer he was in battle.
The more people he killed and the most blood he spilled the stronger the would become, his mind would also be clouded by bloodlust making him dumber but providing better battle instincts.
Terrian the Gray was an alchemist known for his powerful gas the Haunting Sorrow, a gray mist that would immediately cause anyone in its vicinity to experience necrosis of their flesh and organs.
He also made sure that his crew was immune to its effects so I couldn't use him to do extreme friendly fire.
Lastly Caterina the Swift was a swordswoman that had the Bug-Bug Fruit, Model: Dragonfly. It gave her incredible speed and maneuverability in the air while also giving her 2 extra arms.
This would allow her to use all of the blades that were stolen and raise her 4-sword style to a new level of danger.
The rest of the crewmates were pretty weak, there were a few that were pretty good fighters but nothing that stood out like these 3.
They had 3 ships that carried 100 pirates on each vessel so they were massive. They were made of Ironwood so resistant to the damages of the Grandline.
Their ships were pretty old, however, their only form of armaments on them being old cannons that I could easily dodge or tank a hit from.
So with all of that in mind, I was sent off to their next estimated location, the island nation of Barrat. A mountainous island filled with oversized moles, bandit hideouts, and deep cave systems.
When I reached the island the first thing I did was ignore it. There was no way in hell I wanted to fight here, I would give the Terror Blast Pirates way too much of an advantage.
Roland would be free to rampage killing the civilians and charging up his devil fruit much faster and Terrian would be able to take the entire island hostage with his poisons.
So no I would instead meet them on the sea where Roland wouldn't be able to make much use of his devil fruit surrounded by his allies.
I would also be able to try and sink the ship taking care of him without having to actually meet in close combat. Hopefully, I could take out most of his crew that was as well.
So I hopped into the ocean and started to swim in the direction that they were estimated to come from. After 4 hours of swimming, I saw their vessels.
I immediately dived under the water holding my breath. With my high vitality and control over my body, I could stay underwater for 30 minutes as long as I didn't do anything too strenuous.
So I moved close to their largest ship, where I assume Roland was. I immediately came underneath their ship and started to prepare.
Since this was underwater I couldn't do Rankyaku or Blue Dragon's Kick to do immense damage so I had to content myself with kicking very hard.
Hardening my foot with a Tekkai and I used the rest of my leg that I could still control to do an Axe kick absolutely crushing the bottom of the ship.
I immediately moved to the other ships and tried to do the same before they had a chance to react. I managed to do one more before I saw vials being thrown into the water.
Shit, it was Terrian, he probably had some poisons that spread in the water for exactly a situation just like this. It was probably meant to deal with fishmen.
So before I poison reached me I jumped out of the water and Geppoed high up into the air to survey the situation.
The first 2 boats were already halfway underwater and I could see hundreds of pirates that hadn't escaped the sinking but the 2 people I was actually targeting were fine.
Katerina was floating in the air in her half-human, half-dragonfly form wielding all the 4 swords that they had stolen from the fight.
Roland was strong enough to jump from one ship to another judging by the fact that one of the sinking ships had a hole in the deck I didn't create and that he was standing on the last floating ship.
So my plan failed, at least I managed to take out most of their useless minions. But before I could think about it more Katerina rushed me.
I immediately sent multiple Rankyaku flying her way but with her mobility in the air and the fact that she had 4 swords to block them none of them managed to land.
She closed the distance and I lashed out with a Taebaek to try and keep her at bay and deal some damage.
She just blocked it by having her lower 2 arms block it with her sword and advancing on me. Using her upper arms to aim at my neck.
Using Kami-e I dodged it moving my neck into a position that just a few months ago would have broken it. It keep in range however as I struck out at her with a Screw Punch.
She moved one of the arms to block and I shattered it immediately. She dropped her sword, and I managed to touch it with the tip of my toes on one of my feet and store it in my inventory.
I immediately tried to press my attack but I heard the sounds of cannons ringing out. With my Kami-e I dodged all of the balls aim at me but gave Katerina enough time to retreat.
I noticed that the balls sent was not regularly shaped, before they blew up into clouds of poison. Panicked I used the unrefined version of Rankyaku blowing the poison before the worst of it could reach me.
I still did inhale some of it and my muscle started to ache as if I just had a sparring session with Rowan. It was not the Haunting Sorrow but another one of his concoctions.
I believe it was called the Creeping Dread. I would massively decrease my stamina and regeneration. Since I had only inhaled a small portion of it I was still fine.
But more of those cannonballs were being shot at me. I decided I had to deal with that first so I Geppoed my way over to the ship and managed to hit it in the side with a massive blow.
It didn't sink in and before I could finish the job both Katerina and Roland rushed to me trapping me between them.
Since I was standing on the ground again I immediately used my combination technique Soru and Bo-bup to rush out of the encirclement and to Terrian.
No doubt surprised by my sudden increase in speed they did react in time before I hit Terrian in the head with a Shigan killing him.
I immediately jumped back and my hunch was correct as he crashed down to the ground multiple small vials he was carrying shatter releasing a massive cloud of poison around him.
If I hadn't been worried about this exact scenario I would have hit him with a kick and been poisoned to death. Good thing I was thinking more during fights now.
I jumped into the air to dodge the rapidly growing cloud of poison and soon I heard the screaming of pirates down below. I guess he didn't give them all the antidotes for all the poison he had on him.
I guess he had a few on him that he could use to defend himself if the crewmates or even Katerina or Roland got uppity with him.
I saw Roland get engulfed and died in the smoke I smiled, that goes to show the weaknesses of a normal martial artist.
They could fight well in a straight-up fight but in a situation like this, they were fucked. That was why I decided to learn the Rokushiki.
But there was still Katerina left and I could see her running away from me as fast as possible with 3 of the stolen swords.
I couldn't allow that so I prepared a Jin Mo-Ri Original: Blue Dragon's Kick that managed to hit her killing her with the sharp and powerful winds it created.
I guess while she was fast she wasn't that durable and the Blue Dragon's Kick while slow to prepare did give one hell of a blow.
So I rushed to her corpse before she hit the sea and managed to get the remaining 3 swords and stored them in my inventory.
I smiled before falling to the sea myself and just floating there, the Creeping Death finally exhausting all of my stamina.
I floated in the ocean for about half a day before I got enough energy to Geppo back to Barrat. I had killed all of the Terror Blast pirates with no major injuries other than a small poisoning.
I took the 3 Ryō Wazamono swords out of my inventory before reaching shore and when the agent asked where the Ō Wazamono sword was. I said I lost it at sea.
Katerina dropped it in our fight and didn't have a chance to recover it was my story. There was nobody left alive who could disprove and the CP officer didn't notice me hiding anything so he grumpily said I had completed my mission.
I mean I got 3 out of the 4 swords back. I was not great but passable considering I was still in training and that Katerina was faster than me in the air, she could have just run away.
But as we headed back to shore, I was happy not only had I completed the mission but now I had one of the greatest swords in One Piece if I ever wanted to learn the sword.
