The Council of the Supernatural

Taranis was laying on the bed with his arms supporting his head and his eyes focused on a black object directed at him in the far corner.

His gaze greatly intimidated the men seated in the camera room staring at the screen connected to the camera in his room. An unknown fear took their hammering hearts as they stupidly wondered if he could see them, but truth be told, Taranis was only wondering what the black object was.

Being sealed away from humanity, in the darkness, for almost two centuries, Taranis knew nothing of modern-day technology. The smallest of things fascinated him, such as the small, square, glass object in the ceiling that emitted light and the large white machine on the wall that released cold air.

Taranis ran his hand along the smooth white sheets and relished the comfort of the soft mattress. After having to sleep in trees covered by thorns or the cold, dry dirt for so long, he forgot how it felt to lay comfortably in a bed.
