"You don't expect me to go dressed like this, do you?" Amaira questioned as she rushed down the stairs behind Anabel.
The shirt she presumed belonged to Elias was long enough to be worn as a dress but was stained with her blood and she didn't feel comfortable going out without underwear.
"You can change in the car." Anabel grabbed the black duffel bag from the center table in the living room before starting for the front door. She carefully moved the curtain aside, "We need to get out of here, they're not far."
Anabel grabbed Amaira's wrist and rushed with her to a backdoor in the kitchen. Before opening the door, she whispered, "Try not to think anything until we're a good enough distance away from here. The devil can hear thoughts from a mile away."
Amaira nodded and silenced the suspicions circling her thoughts as she followed the woman to a black, dark-tinted car parked at the side of the road.ย
