"I have never witnessed a more vibrant shade on a bloom. It is a beauty, is it not?" Keila asked, her tone devoid of any emotion.
One could not tell if she was truly fascinated as her words indicated, or there was a deeper meaning and intent to her words that had nothing to do with blooms and fascination.
Of course, there was no response given and it was not known if Keila had expected any from the horrified clan representatives who were too shocked to utter even a sound.
Keila finally shifted her attention from the freshly bloomed red flowers to the dozens of horrified eyes fixed on her from all around the Gathering Meadow.
"Why the strange looks on your faces? You wished to witness the ability of the Fae royal lineage, you said to prove worth...you said relying on past glory will no longer be enough..."
"I would say, this would suffice. And if it does not, I am willing to prove some more..." Keila trailed off as her gaze settled on Lord Fintan.
