Jian's gaze furrowed slightly at Kaideon's words.
"How is it that you have a method to send word and you did not do so the moment you arrived here? You realize Veah was terribly concerned for your well being?" Jian asked Kaideon.
"I have only been here for barely a day longer than you have, Jian. I am well aware I have burdened Veah, there has not been a moment she is not on my mind." Kaideon said with a heavy sigh.
Jian recalled the time difference between the stronghold and this dimension. It had barely been a week since Kaideon's disappearance in the stronghold, it was only natural he had not been here for long.
"You faced a battle upon your arrival here." Jian murmured.
"What can I say? Trouble seems to seek me out fondly in recent times...it was better a golem than Azkar himself." Kaideon replied with a casual shrug.
"That is true." Jian did not disagree with Kaideon's words.
