This was not part of its plan, and if things kept going this way, it would have to cancel its challenges of the human champions.

The Myceloid God knew that it would annoy its fellow Gods with this game, but it hadn't expected them to take direct action to mess with its fun. There was only one evolving human champion on the planet, and they had already sent three of their Greater Beings after it to no avail.
