Before this campaign onto the planet, he had nearly fifty people who he could command. After he received direction from the command tent for what he should do next, he found that he barely had a tenth of that manpower.

His quest had been completed shortly after he went to the command tent, netting him and other 500 EXP and yet another quest, this time related to the mission he had just been given.

Around the base, he found that Connor, Joel, Teala, Claire and Tyson had all made their way there some way or another. After finding them, and a quick trip to the medical tent to verify that Gus was suitable to be sent out, they went on to their first assigned task.
