Gus was outside of the house before anyone else. While it was true that he had not specified a time for them to meet, he had hoped that they would be out there fairly early so that they could get it over with.

'Guess I'll just have to remember that for the future,' he thought.

After the five Squad Leaders had met, he contacted a couple of people. First, he contacted Jet and asked if he would be able to guarantee that those who helped him get his squad back would receive no punishment. He also asked about weapons, since he figured they would need them to get his squad back. After being assured that there would be no punishments, he forwarded the information on to Althea. Receiving no response afterward, he could only speculate whether or not she and her squad would actually be there.
