The group stood there, slightly dumbstruck. 

"Fighting was not part of the plan," Lifen hissed. 

Bahlam concurred with a nod. "I don't want to fight our deity."

"I am looking forward to breaking my limits," Noboru eagerly said, his eyes set on the archangel before them. 

Lucifer frowned and sighed. "Okay, Saraquel, you win. As you clearly see, we're not equipped to fight you. Now let us through." 

"My dear Lucifer, that is out of the question. You either all fight and kill my mirage, or you all forfeit and die." To underline his words, he raised his rotating orb. It chinked, and the way they had come through disappeared behind a brick wall. 

Lucifer grimaced and summoned her sword. Or at least she tried to. However, nothing happened, no matter how often she stretched out her hand. 

"Lucifer, are you not forgetting something? No ether manipulation, no superhuman abilities. You all are mere mortals in this space."
