Chapter 90 - New home

Loud explosion erupted as the whole Tower of Heaven was in shambles trying to find the cause of the ruckus. The mage cultist immediately investigated the situation only to be confronted by a wild looking woman whose hair seemed to burst into flame as her hands and fit was completely covered in flames. She was grinning as he demolished the incoming battalion of mages burning their magic with her own magic.

"What the hell is this!? Did the magic council find us!?"

Someone exclaimed presumably their leader as he watched the carnage ensued and witnessed the woman being untouchable by his men. They may not be the best mages but fighting over several dozen men is not easy. He concluded that she may be an S-Class mage commissioned by the magic council. 

"You lot stop her! The tower of heaven is near completion and letting her destroy it would make everything all for nothing!"

He desperately screamed to his fellow cultists who showed their devotion to Zeref by giving everything they had. Unfortunately, the more they gathered, the more the woman enjoyed it. 

"Hahaha is this all you got!? Hellfire dragon roar!"

She devoured the nearby flames and consumed it to replenish herself before blasting a powerful fire breath that incinerated those in front of her and completely destroyed their souls in the process. Though Caelum doesn't have a perfect method to strengthen his soul in a noticeable or groundbreaking way still able to partially manipulate a soul with the magic he acquired and applied it to the magic that is compatible with his wives. This includes his [ Tensei Rinne-Sharingan ].

Even before gaining a massive Mereoleona was still one of the most powerful magic knights from her homeworld. She showcases her might right now, holding back to avoid harming the innocent who could be in the building. Of course, she made sure to plan on where to fight them and act in a way to not show her intention. Mereoleona may be a battle junky but she isn't stupid and actually a great skilled strategies. 

Mereoleona then sensed her husband who came out of the prison followed by a group of children behind him and this moment made some of the cultists move past her to kill Caelum but she let them be, knowing Caelum would handle it and took a portion away from them. 

Meanwhile, Caelum held out his hand absorbing every magic they blasted before compressing it into small shards where everyone looked at him stunned before turning into particles spreading them across the battlefield.

"My turn. Extermination."

In a split second, everyone was decimated by the compressed magic spell, instantly killing every single cultist who was close by and completely disintegrating their body where nothing was left, only the damage landed from the spell. He saw their soul and immediately plock it before devouring them using [ Absolute Devourer, Ammutseba ]. Their soul nourish his own while also acquiring their memories and he frowns seeing them.

'....This is beyond stupid.'

He turned back feeling infuriated but let it be while Mereoleona, busy fighting the rest of them, went back with the others.

"That was amazing, Caelum-Nii!"

Millianna exclaimed in excitement watching the fight intently. 

"What magic did you use?"

"I call it….Apeiron magic."

Caelum still hadn't perfected in unifying the magic that he acquired. He had completed the 3002 magic yet hadn't been able to unify them into become [ One magic ]. He was certain that once he was successful then his magic power would skyrocketed. 

Few minutes later, Caelum tried to see if they were any more prisoners and quickly freed them. After that they all gave their gratitude to Caelum for saving them and immediately went to find a way out to get home hoping to see if their family would be there. 

"These children don't seem to have a home to return to…"

Charlotte informed him while giving a bitter tone since even after so many years she can't remove her emotion as human. As a magic knight she had seen this kind of situation before but everytime it pains her. 

"I guess I'll bring them to a fairy tail."

She nodded confused why won't he didn't just suggest bringing them to their empire but just put it aside. 

"Thank you for saving us. I wouldn't want to leave my sister all alone if I suddenly…"

Sorano woke up having restored to his former health and quickly thanked Caelum. He just shrugged it off and told her it wasn't to worry about. 

[ It seem your started to horde more girls into pants-I mean harem ]

'Cereza? Why were you so quiet?'

[ Well, I was a bit busy. But you're changing the topic! I knew you were a lolicon! ]

'Keep this up and you won't walk for days along with vanessa'

[ Is that a threat or reward~? ]

He decided to ignore them and saw that his [ Harem Parameter ] added every young girl of Millianna, Sorano, Yukino and Kagura. Caelum went to create a portal straight to friore and brought everyone with him. Those other people departed from them while he brought the children to the guild where he found Makarov who quickly spotted him and turned to see the children with him that had ragged for clothes.

He asked what happened with Caelum giving a rundown at what happened that angered Makarov.

"What are those magic councils doing!? Are they neglecting what they are supposed to do!?" 

"We can discuss more later, we should bring them to the bathhouse and give them a new pair of clothes."

Makarov nodded before turning his attention to the children and making them feel at home telling them that the place was their new home and they were all now part of his family. The children finally were able to rest and were brought by a guild member to the bathhouse to help clean them. Charlotte joins in to help the girls in taking bath while Mereoleona just went ahead to explore the town. 

Having their agenda, Makarov brought his godfather to his office before discussing everything that had happened with each word made his face turn grim.

"So Rob is dead."

He muttered saddened by the news of an old friend perishing and even more disappointed at the magic council for not taking action. 

"May his soul find peace in the afterlife. Godfather, what do you plan on doing?"

Caelum stayed quiet upon hearing Makarov. 

"Will you step in and punish the council for their carelessness?"

"No, they're not my responsibility and my kindness only goes so far as fate allows it."

He always acts according to what he feels and thinks and never felt it his responsibility to save everyone. If an opportunity arose where he could directly act then he would but won't go out of his way to help them like some sort of hero then that is another. 

"However, I discovered that someone in the council is conspiring against them. They are connected to a few dark guilds and hide the dirty work from them. I'm unsure how deep the corruption goes but I am certain they would eventually have to face me which I hope won't."

Caelum saw the memories and information where few mentioning his empire and their plans on going against them which was extremt stupid when they literally countries of dragons who live for countless years. They are going to drag everyone with them and unlike the Canon or sacred timeline, none would find a dragon slayer to fight against them. 

He inwardly sigh how stupid people can be when pride and fear overwhelm their mind. Caelum would have to stop them and help fix it. Makarov nodded hoping that it wouldn't come, since innocent people would die from the ensuing war against them. 

"Then let me handle the magic council situation. I have few trusted people inside and might be able to stop their stupid plan."

"If you need anything just ask. That aside, I'll be leaving the children in Fiore for the time being."

With that Caelum went down to the guild hall where he found Charlotte along with the children as well as Mirajane with his sibling. They were now dressed in better clothes and we're finally eating amazing meals making few cry in the process. Caelum was saddened knowing that their parents are now dead and thought of himself in their situation if he hadn't gained the power to save his mother.

'This is why I need to get stronger. Not because I want to be a king nor a god but the power to not be trampled and lose anything.'

Slowly every passing moment and thought seemed to affect him as Caelum thought about what magic was in this world. The core or essence of the One Magic. He didn't try to use that opportunity to take everything and assimilate his thoughts and emotions to form the One True magic. 

"This is so good!! What is it called!?"

Millianna devoured her food without stopping and making a mess on her face, letting Charlotte act on her motherly impulse and wipe her face.

"Slow down, the food won't go away. And it's called Adobo, which is my husband's signature dish."

"Hey, that's mine, Eric!"

"I saw it first, Wally!"

The two were bickering as Simon stopped the two from fighting. Caelum chuckled at the children reassuring them that they were going to be more as he reached out to get some juice that was made from highly nutritious fruit that he made using his [ Ambrosia's Divine Heaven's Fruit Creation ] skill. 

Everyone curious at what Caelum poured, making some of his guildmate as what it was and happily gave some bottle. The children took a sip and their eyes just lit up.

"This….is beyond amazing!!?"

Yukino exclaimed, chugging the whole cup tasting its sweet yet flavorful taste.

"It taste so good~"

Kagura felt bliss tasting the meal and drink but was lightly scolded by her brother not to drink too fast. 

"You have been very good to us but we don't know how to repay you."

Simon said acting as the big brother of the group feeling in debt for their savior but Caelum just gave a wholehearted laugh at his words.

"No need to feel that way. All of you gave me more than you realize."

Giving them a wide grin that made them confused about what they gave him. Caelum told them that he'll find a new home and suggested joining the fairy tail guild where they would earn money doing smaller quests. They were thrilled by the news as everyone continued to eat their meal as Caelum took them around town. Mirajane joined them with her sibling since she wanted to know more about them feeling that she gained yet another rival even though at this point Caelum had numerous women. 

He bought a cheap mansion that was fully furnished and had many rooms to accommodate the children. Millianna and Kagura had their eyes sparkling seeing their new big home. 

They went to explore every room with Charlotte, took them while Caelum made some protection runes in the mansion to protect it from intruders and did the same with the children in case they faced any danger. 

[ Do you think that's a bit overkill? ]

'Maybe but it's better safe than sorry. That aside, I almost forgot to ask what you were doing that made you occupied?'

[ I was trying to fix the crack that you made by trying to absorb the system. Even after a few hundred years your wound is still healing. ]

'I see, I'll make sure to be careful.'

Caelum finished and went inside to help the children settle down, summoning a caretaker for them. After everything, he let them be and went to find Mereoleona to return home.
