Kai's Attitude Change

Kai never expected Arthur's parents to come here—to his house. He had just learned how close Arthur's family was to Kalea. He could see with his own eyes that Kalea was warmly accepted by Arthur's parents.

Kalea herself seemed at ease, a sweet smile blooming on her beautiful face. The sight of Selma cheerfully playing with Aquila or Albern occasionally joking around with Kalea filled Kai with mixed emotions. Kalea would surely be much happier if she chose to live with them.

Kai had no family left; he was utterly alone. All he could do was beg Kalea not to leave him.
