The happenings of Saxonia (3)

"You know, the Vraetian Empire kind of reminds me of the Roman Empire from earth."

"To be honest I would be kind of sad to see it go," said Tristan

"Hmm, if you want to see them succeed so much, then how about enacting that messenger from god plan you were talking about earlier."

"While they believe in Sofia, you the God of Creation, is treated as a background god," replied Jeremiah

"Your right, maybe it is time to start that plan and I have just the right two choices for the other 2 nations."

"You were planning on going down to three different nations?"

"Yup. I was planning on finding countries that were either in bad times, have war looming over them, or just broke away from past oppressors."

After a few more minutes of elaborating his plan, Tristan got up and made the preparations for his descent.

...

Here is a brief history of the other two countries Tristan had chosen.

The first country is the Fryll Kingdom.

The Fryll Kingdom was established in the year 15,000 AC, by Danon Fryll as a city-state after the Fryll Clan had migrated south to settle near the coast.

Danon Fryll was a vicious warlord who basked in the glory of destruction, because of this trait, when the Fryll Clan reached the southern tip of the Western Peninsula, they raided a multitude of villages and towns all across the area.

After he was satisfied with the death he had brought to this new land, Danon Fryll conquered a fledgling city that was ruled by a petty king whose name is lost to history.

Once he had his foothold in the peninsula, he went on to conquer two more towns of 5,000 and 10,000.

His clan at the time bolstered by the people he had conquered, numbered in the high 20,000's so he had no problems with taking over these towns.

Once he had stabilized his hold over the area, Danon Fryll declared the founding of the Fryll Kingdom.

for the next few millennia, the Fryll Kingdom went on a path of conquest and eventually united the southern half of the Western Peninsula.

With the succession of King Danon III "The Great", all seemed to be going fortuitously for the Fryll Kingdom, that is until the fire natio- *Ahem* until the Telren Kingdom invaded the borders of the Fryll Kingdom.

Although the defenders from Fryll had successfully curbed the initial invasion force of 20,000 soldiers, King Danon III was furious at the audacity of the northern kingdom to attack his great realm.

After a few weeks of preparation, the war-hungry king marched off to battle with a retinue of 70,000 troops.

While this may seem like a large number, it would be needed in the upcoming fight due to the Telren Kingdom having the advantage of a powerful wizard, their king, fighting on the front lines.

King Atticus Telren IV was a member of a line of great mages that went back 4 generations.

He was a tier peak tier 5 Sorcerer who specialized in destructive fire magic, in a sense, he loved to watch things go boom.

The king was only 463 years old as well, so he had plenty of time to grow even stronger.

At his back were 60,000 well-trained, battle-hardened veterans, who were ready to die for their king.

in the years leading up to this, the northern half of the Western Peninsula was going through its own unification war, and after centuries of bitter fighting, the Telren Kingdom stood above the ashes of its fallen foes.

After years of fighting, the two monarchs met on the battlefield outside of the capital city of Telren.

After days had passed, something tragic and surprising happened, King Atticus IV "The Phoenix" had slain King Danon III "The Great"

King Danon had spotted King Atticus amid the battle, and with a bloodthirsty glint in his eyes, foolishly rushed at him.

Cutting down enemies left and right, nothing could stop the crazed king from claiming the head of his sworn foe.

When the two kings finally faced each other, in a grand display of strength and prowess, the now tier 6 sorcerer had slain the tier 6 aura knight.

Within minutes of the start of the clash between the two rulers, King Atticus expertly used fire magic to wrap a restricting ring around his foe.

While this may seem like a disadvantage to a mage such as him, King Atticus was not just some normal mage, no, he was a battle mage, maybe one of the first in history.

Atticus would go into battle with his trusty magic sword.

Back during this time, imbuing weapons with magic properties was a new idea, but the king's father, King Atticus III, had found a way to do it.

Using his mastery over the fire element, King Atticus III had enchanted the sword with the properties of fire, plus he found a way to make the sword more durable and sharper, consequently creating the most lethal weapon besides the now heirloom, Storm Caller, the legendary sword of the first emperor, Emperor Rigurd "The Conqueror" himself.

Of course, they had no way of knowing who he or his empire was back then, so, the Telren dynasty thought they had created the most powerful weapon in the world.

Back to the battle, King Atticus IV had trapped King Danon III in a circle surrounded by an intense magical blaze.

Using the enemy's stupor to his advantage, Atticus rushed towards Danon and swung straight at his chest, hoping for an immediate kill shot.

By the grace of Tristan, Danon had been able to dodge by a hair's length however, not without damage, Danon had sustained a deep cut near his ribs.

Thanks to the fire element imbued in the weapon, the wound had cauterized immediately.

The two kings would go on to fight for hours until Atticus had achieved the upper hand.

Due to his immense mana pool, Atticus was able to fight for almost twice the length that Danon was.

After hours of intense fighting, the skirmish between the two kings would come to a close.

With devastating speed and lethality, King Atticus IV decapitated King Danon III.

Shortly after, one of the generals of Danon's army had seen Atticus carrying came Danon's head, once he came out of his shock, the general issued an order of retreat to all of his forces.

While the records say the Fryll Kingdom had lost an estimate of 20,000 - 30,000, the reality of the situation was, that Fryll had lost a little over half of their army that had marched with Danon.

this left bout 70,000 troops, including the defenders, left-back at the capital.

It would take a miracle for the Fryll Kingdom to come back from this devasting loss.

And by some stroke of divine luck, the son and heir of King Atticus IV had fallen ill with a deathly disease.

Using this opportunity, the new king, King Aemon Fryll would re-group his forces and make preparations for a counter-invasion.

The years went by, and countless battles and skirmishes were fought between the two rival kingdoms until the year 20,500 AC, when the new king, King Aemon II, a tier 7 grand sorcerer, and tier 4 aura knight, that's right a dual practitioner, would lead the final offensive into the Telren Kingdom.

The king of Telren at the time was only 103 years old and a tier 2 aura squire, as a result, when the now 100,000-man army came knocking at his front door, the young king, and his defenders who numbered just over 50,000, would get steamrolled and slaughtered.

In the year 20,500 AC, the Western Peninsula would be unified under the banner of the Fryll Kingdom, however, it wouldn't be long until a new threat came around and threatened their very existence.

...

The other nation Tristan had in mind, was the Elora Empire.

In the year 17,900 AC, a northern tribe had been fighting for their lives in a clan dispute over a hunting ground and had been losing badly, until the warlord, Azariah Elora had come to power in the clan.

Azariah was a peak 3rd-tier aura squire at the age of 376 which up north where development had slowed down due to the tundra environment, was quite impressive.

He had gained the support of the people and warriors of the clan and staged a coup of sorts over the ruling family of the clan, he would slaughter every last member and take power for himself.

Once he was in a position of absolute authority, he would lead his clan to triumph over the opposition and even conquer surrounding tribes and clans and found the Elora Kingdom.

Due to the mass bloodshed and killing he would do during their conquest, Azariah would gain the title of "The Ruthless", making his full name after the forming of the kingdom, King Azariah "The Ruthless".

Under the future kings, the Kingdom of Elora would undergo continuous conquest over the northern tip of the continent.

Anytime a new fledgling kingdom would crop up, the vile Eloran kings would say, hibbity hoppity your kingdoms now my property.

This would go on all the way until 22,000 AC when the then monarch, Azariah III, would declare the formation of the Elora Empire, making him, Emperor Azariah "The Vile".

The reason he earned the moniker, "The Vile" was due to how he would torch whole settlements and watch the carnage ensue, he would cut down every fleeing villager and bask in the gore and death all around him.

Despite his questionable passed times, Emperor Azariah III would become the third ruler to implement a cavalry unit in his army, the first of course being Rigurd and the second being another emperor from the Haeterra Empire, but more on them later.

Plus, he was also an inventor who would go on to create a version of the plow pulled behind the Elora Empire's most abundant beast of burden as well as their cavalry mount, the Trident Horse.

The Trident Horse was a creature not too different from the mythical unicorn (which exists in Saxonia) this beast was on average 2 meters tall and 3 meters long, the horse was a bulky specimen that also had superb stamina fit for being a cavalry mount, and strength fit for pulling heavy plows.

The main feature of this beast, as well as its name's sake, is the three horns sticking out from the front of the horse's head, hence the name Trident.

these three horns were 25 cm long and were as tough as steel, in the wild these creatures would sometimes use them for hunting, but most of the time they were used for fighting over mates.

another seven and a half centuries passed and on the eve of the first emperor's death in the year 22,745 AC, the nomadic tribes/ barbarians of the north took this chance to start raiding and pillaging the villages and towns of the empire, almost like how the founder of the Elora Kingdom did.

When Tristan saw this event unfold, it felt eerily reminiscent of the Roman Empire and its later days where the barbarian tribes would ransack the villages and cities of the Empire, all the way until its ruin.

The Elora Empire and the numerous barbarian tribes would battle for millennia after and they would get locked into an eternal power struggle, that is until a barbarian clan had successfully overrun and taken over a border province of the Empire.

This eternal struggle would go on until the year 25,010 AC, when the fourth emperor, Emperor Zandrek would be visited by the messenger of the God of Creation, aka Tristan who would be doing the same at the Vraetia Empire, and the Fryll Kingdom.

Authors Note:

I know I sound like a broken record, but thanks for the support it really means a lot to me!!

Hopefully I'll be done with the Terran continent by either the next chapter or in two chapters, boy I really underestimated how carried away I would get with the stories of not just Vraetia but the other two nations, and I still need to talk about one more in detail and outline the rest, phew, Lol.

If you like the novel don't forget to add it to your library!

Now that summer is coming up, I should be able to release 3-4 chapters a week, but who knows life comes at you in all sorts of ways.

Feedback is always welcome!!
