Chapter 106: Let's Get on Their Spaceship

When Julia woke, Zurian was gone. She hurriedly showered and dressed in jeans, boots, and a dark shirt and rushed outside. They were going to find Sarah and she wanted to see Zurian before he left. When he'd made love to her, he'd tried to hide it from her but she'd seen him turn cold. All that passion and feeling drawn back somewhere inside him. She didn't think he wanted to do it; it was as if he feared his own emotions. Believed that something horrific would happen. She stopped and a cold twinge ran down her spine. Given that the Zyrgins didn't fear anything, maybe she should stop trying to make him lose control. Did his need to remain in command of his emotions at all times have anything to do with his scars?

She hurried to the cave, careful not to stumble over the uneven ground.

He zoomed in on her immediately, grunted something to Zacar, and stalked over to her.
