Chapter 27: Behind Enemy Lines

Mary nervously pulled at the hem of her white floral sundress as she stood next to the entrance of a pub that very much seemed to be a popular spot. Giving off the air of a shy tourist earned her some sweet greetings and welcomes from various people passing by. It was also one that she knew the Flannigans liked to frequent, thanks to the stories Mickey loved to share. She peeked through the large windows, noting the sea of patrons with mugs and glasses in hand. There were a few televisions mounted on the walls, one with a rugby match and the other two with soccer matches. She didn’t immediately see any sign of anyone looking remote like they were related to Mickey, but she knew Donny had to be there.

'Someone who’s as full of himself as Donny portrayed wouldn’t miss a chance to be seen by this many people.’ She smirked inwardly. ‘You can get a lot out of a man who loves to talk about himself.'
