You Are Not Ours

My mother is one of those mothers who don't know to take no for an answer but in a good way. They have an intuition that makes them know that even if their child has said no, there is something they are saying. 

And as such, they make sure to ask again until she is sure that the answer you gave her is genuinely the right answer. 

I think Mr. Jaime forgot that for a minute and that was why when my mother asked him if everything was okay, he said it was when clearly it was not. I don't know how I know it is not because you know I don't have the maternal instincts and intuition but deep down I can feel something is wrong. 

"Love, do you want me to drive you?" My father asks.

I am sure you will think my father will realize that I am standing here, but no, he has been ignoring me since the morning so I am not surprised when he asks my mother if he can drive her while I am next to them at the moment.
