Previously on Black Clover: Minato reborn. While playing with his sister Minato's impeccable mana sensing abilities picked up upon a vast and dense amount of
Mana near his home.
Upon investigating Minato realises that the mana he sense was being released by a Spirit. Not just any Spirit but RAIJIN The Greater Lightning Spirit.
~3rd Person POV~
'What the hell did I walk into' Minato thinks to himself as he's forced to the ground by the sheer might of Raijins mana.
"NO ONE INSULTS RAIJIN AND LIVES TO TELL THE TALE" Raijin roars our and swings his clawed paw at Minato's downed from.
Minato seeing the approaching Claw panics slightly which makes him release some of his Mana involuntary, which makes it easy for Minato to move under the Spirits Mana. Quickly coming to that conclusion Minato releases as much mana as possible which gives him just enough time to teleport to one of his kunai he placed before heading to the Spirit.
"OH! YOU DODGED THAT, DID YOU AND WITH SUCH AN INTERESTING ABILITIES TOO" Raijin says but it comes out more like a shout.
Minato who's now panting lightly due to the cost of expelling so much mana and then using the [Flying Thunder God], takes a couple of deep breaths to calm himself as he prepares to potentially take on the Spirit in front of him.
As he looks towards The Spirit again, all he see's is a lightning bolt heading straight for him. Knowing he won't be able to dodge, Minato charges a Full Power [Chidori] to defend himself.
"CHIDORI!!" Minato yells out. Upon his [Chidori] and the Spirits Lightning bolt clashing Minato is blasted back by the force the attacks produced.
Minato gets up quickly, 'That [Chidori] should've carved straight through that bolt of Lightning. But why didn't it?' Minato questions internally, while glancing at his hand. Minato's hand is blackened by the burn marks but he remains relatively unharmed.
"HAHA NOT BAD!" Roars Raijin, before he makes it rain lightning bolts.
Looking up and seeing the approaching Lightning Minato let's out a simple, "Oh Shit" before blasting his Mana full force to boost his physical abilities. His Lightning magic increasing his speed tenfold.
Well doing his best to dodge the raining lightning, Minato launch's a few attacks of his own in hopes to cancel out a few of the lightning bolts. But they have little to no effect they barely even slow down the Spirits attacks.
Minato see this panics as he's running low on both stamina and mana. 'Have I been neglecting my magic training this much?' He questions himself seeing his own magic to nothing to the Spirits Magic.
'I can't even rely on my runic magic, as I can't use it with out a medium like the paper I use' Minato thinks to himself.
Minato continues to Dip, Duck, Dodge and ...Weave his way around as many attacks as possible, with little success.
By the time the [Lightning Rain] attack of the Spirit is down, Minato is covered in burns and blood as some of his wounds have begun to leak blood.
"HAAH HAAH" Minato pants, bearly being able to stay standing.
"HOW PITIFUL" Raijin the Spirit says combing closer to Minato.
"If I've to die right now...." Minato says barely above a whisper while gathering all his mana in his hands. "I will not go down with out atleast landing...."
"A SINGLE HIT" Minato yells raising his hands which are covered in bright yellow almost gold colour. As Minato's about to unleash his final attack, a name for the attack just pops into his head.
"[STORM MAGIC: SWORD SUSSUNO]!!" Minato roars with everything he has.
Out from his hands Minato's attack takes shape even before he finishes speaking. It takes the form of a golden sword that looks like it's been basked in the elements of wind and lightning.
Minato's attack flys at Raijin at a speed that he, Minato struggled to keep up with. The Sword flys right at Raijin and strikes him on the side of his face.
As The Sowed and Face meet a deafening bang and a cloud of smoke is form obscuring Minato's view.
"Did-Did it get him?" Minato says unbelievably.
"MUHAMUHAHAHAHA, ITS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE A HUMAN LANDED A HIT IN ME" Raijin roared happily. "AND FOR THAT YOU MOST PAY!" he yells with an impossibly evil looking smirk.
Raijin forms a massive and magnificent lightning bolt that radiates destructive power.
"Ha I never stood a chance" Minato says self-deprecatingly as he continues to struggle to stand due to both mana exhaustion and pain.
"NOW DIE" Raijin yells launching the lightning at Minato.
Seeing this Minato closes his eyes, opens his arms wide and accepts his fate. All while apologising to His Parents, His Sister and His Best Friend Kashi. 'Looks like I'm gonna be late for dinner'
After a couple of seconds and nothing happens Minato opens his eyes. Immediately he notices that his wounds have healed and his burn marks have disappeared. He can feel his mana has been refilled.
"Wha-What?" Minato stutters out, before glaring at the smirking Spirit.
"HAHA DON'T LOOK SO SERIOUS BOY I WAS JUST PLAYING ABOUT" Raijin says laughing his ass off.
"PLAYING ABOUT! YOU ALMOAT KILLED ME!" Minato shouts.
"MAA MAA, learn to take a joke kid" Raijin says finally lowering his voice. "If I wanted you dead I wouldn't have let you past my storm"
"So you are the cause of the storm then" Minato says in understanding, as he quickly forgets all about the fact that the giant Spirit in front of him almost killed him mere seconds ago.
"Indeed I am boy, granted it only took a fraction of my mana" Raijin bragged not so subtilely.
"Yeah, Yeah what ever you say man. So your a Spirit right?" Minato ask even though he already knows the answer.
"Are you an idiot, I already told you I was" Raijin says looking at Minato with pity in his eyes.
"Yes but what type of Spirit. You clearly too powerful to be a simple Great Spirit like the salamander" Minato states.
"Hmm that is indeed true. I'm Raijin the Greater Spirit of Lightning the first of my kind" Raijin states deep and proudly.
"First of your kind? Like the first Spirt?" Minato asks.
"Hmm not exactly. All 5 Greater spirit came about the same time actually" Raijin clarified.
"All belonging to one of the five elements right?" Minato asks.
"Yes, there's The Fire Dragon Roku, The Water Serpent Neptu, The Earthen Bear Baloo And finally my sister The Wind leopard Fūjin"Raijin explains.
"Your sister?" Minato asks confused on how that works. "How doses that work?"
"It's quite simple, we both formed at the same time together. Our abilities are also complementary to each other's" Raijin says with a soft smile clearly remembering his sister.
Minato seems to gain a great understanding of Raijin at this very moment and gives a sagely nod. "I see" He states profoundly. Which gets Raijins attention who stares at Minato a bit scrutinising him before giving a Sagely nod in return.
"Soo-" Minato begins
"No I'm not going to become your Spiritual Companion" Raijin says immediately.
"HEY! I wasn't going to ask that!" Minato says with a barely noticeable blush.
"Ha of course you weren't" the Spirit says sarcastically. "You're far to weak anyways come back in a few years that I might give you the chance"
"So I just need to be strong enough, and you'll fight by my side?" Minato asks obviously hoping that he could gain an ally as powerful as Raijin.
"I might, quite frankly I've never encountered someone with such an affinity form lightning magic" Raijin states. "Your pretty decent with wind magic too, both that's not my area"
"Okay so I just have to get stronger, find you, kick your ass and then we'll become partners, Got it" Minato says nodding to himself.
"Haha you can try brat. Now off you go your sister is worrying about you" Raijin says waving his paw.
Minato's view get obscured by a bright blue light. Then when his vision returns he's standing outside the storm with all his kunai and his broom beside him.
"Incredibly" Minato whispers in slight awe. "I gotta learn how to do that"
