Phoenix Saga Part 11

Alex Wayne POV

Almost a day has passed since the Phoenix decided to stay in Genosha.

Since the firebird's job was to guard the M'kraan Crystal, I had to find someone to teach her some common sense.

Although she was in Jean's body, the Phoenix could not fully use Jean's memories to understand how human society works.

And that job fell to Irene.

As for Lilandra, that woman seemed curious about Genosha so I allowed her to go sightseeing.

As for what I asked Jane to do.

It seems that she managed to create a portal to the Shi'ar Empire.

So I sent my best spy for this job.

Mystique.

She will easily be able to obtain information.

And she really did not disappoint me, this morning she sent me her report.

It seems that Emperor D'ken has been making preparations to attack Earth and obtain the M'kraan Crystal.

And they will go to Earth early tomorrow.

After I got the report, I sent Mystique a message to come back.

After sending the message, I was deep in thought.

If I go and attack the Shi'ar directly, it would be troublesome. I know that not everyone in the Shi'ar Empire agrees with the D'ken form of government and if I start an attack, civilians will be involved.

So the best way to fight that guy is in space.

Then, I will use the Moon as a base.

But I'll have to talk to The Watcher.

I also decide to report this to Lilandra, so I call her to come to my office.

About ten minutes later, Lilandra walks into my office.

"What happened?" Lilandra asked as she sat down across from me.

Hearing her question, I tell her about the current movements of the Shi'ar Empire.

Lilandra is surprised and is silent for a few seconds.

"So what are you going to do?" she asked me.

"That's simple, since he's coming to cause trouble, I'll make him see desperation" I calmly answered.

"The only thing I can ask of you is that if you can avoid the casualties of the Shi'ar soldiers, they are just following orders" Lilandra said, bowing her head slightly.

I'm surprised by her attitude but I quickly calm down.

"I'll do what I can" I replied.

Lilandra quickly left the office with a complicated look.

Every time she thought of her brother, she was afraid of the crazy things he would do.

But ever since she came to Earth and met Genosha Governor, Alex Wayne.

Her fear for her brother has been disappearing.

After all, this place had very strong beings.

She was a warrior and former admiral of the Shi'ar Empire, so she could discern who was strong and who was not.

And she had to admit that most of Genosha's higher-ups were strong.

Especially three people.

Wanda Maximoff, Est, and Alex Wayne himself.

And now that the Phoenix Force is on his side, she only feels sorry for her brother.

That is why she will swear an oath, once she defeats her brother and she assumes power, she will never make an enemy of Earth.

Without realizing it, a smile formed on her face and she was more relaxed as she headed out of the palace to prepare for her decisive battle with her brother.

Mystique was in the capital city of the Shi'ar Empire and has currently just been ordered to stand down.

It was very simple for her to mix with the inhabitants of the Shi'ar Empire.

What was fascinating to her was that it was also the first time she had transformed into another species apart from human.

And she enjoyed it.

But since it was time to return, she had to leave the capital to activate the portal and reach Earth.

Although she enjoyed taking on the appearance of other aliens, she didn't really like the vibe of this place, especially with the slave system they practice.

For that alone, Mystique looked down on the Emperor D'ken.

That kind of system will only bring him destruction in the end.

Well, confronting Alex will only speed up the process.

Thus, taking the form of a Shi'ar soldier, she left the capital.

Alex Wayne POV

After talking with Lilandra, I head to the Genosha spaceport.

Upon arrival, I look at the three spaceships that were created with Dark Elf technology.

Smiling, I watch as a group of Sentinels and Mutants led by Magneto and Polaris board two of the spaceships.

And looking at the third spaceship, I head towards it.

Inside it, there are already Lilandra, Est and the Phoenix.

Because with them is more than enough.

The other members of the Council and the X-Men stayed on Genosha to protect it, as Lilandra told us about the Shi'ar spies on Earth.

Even though I knew about it, I couldn't tell them anything and was really grateful to Lilandra for mentioning it.

Making all the preparations, we began our takeoff and left the Earth's atmosphere in the direction of the Moon.

The speed of the ships was extraordinary and in less than a few minutes, we reached the Blue Area of the Moon.

Upon landing, we began to look at the place with curiosity.

The only one who had been here was Est.

Most of the Mutants never left Earth and that's why they were excited.

I was a bit calmer since I knew about the existence of this place, but seeing it for myself surprised me a bit.

I parted ways with the group and with Est, headed to The Watcher's home.

Magneto and Polaris took it upon themselves to create a base here.

Building one is easy if done with the nanobots Riri created.

After flying for a few minutes with my glider, Est and I arrived at The Watcher's home.

And before we could say anything, The Watcher says:

"I know you have come. You don't have to worry, I won't get involved in your affairs and to avoid trouble, I will hide my home"

As he finished speaking, his home disappeared as if it were an illusion.

I was speechless at his actions, but since he already said that, I shrugged and went back to the others.

Once we install the base, we will only have to wait for the arrival of the Shi'ar military fleet.
