While Alex was surprised.
Laura mentally communicates with the boy named Adrian.
Laura let him see what she had been through before coming here.
Little Adrian was surprised.
"So, is he trustworthy?" he asks Laura.
"Yes" and after a moment she adds:
"If you don't believe me, read his mind, don't worry he won't be upset" says Laura carefree as she mentally communicates with Adrian.
If Alex heard their conversation, he would be speechless by what Laura said.
‹ Girl even I have secrets, don't sell me out › Alex would say, unfortunately he couldn't hear them.
The boy Adrian hesitated for a few seconds, but knowing their situation and that he could not easily trust, he tried.
A few seconds later Adrian was shocked. Laura, seeing him stay stunned, calls him mentally:
"Adrian what's wrong?"
Adrian still stunned replies:
"I can't read his mind"
Laura is surprised and turns to look at Alex.

Alex Wayne POV
After being surprised, I recover and watch their interaction.
A few seconds later I see the boy look at me, only to see how he surprised as he stares at me.
Laura tries to shake him out of his surprise. Seconds later Laura turns to look at me.
Seeing how they acted I understood what was happening.
The boy wanted to read my mind, but I knew from his expression that didn't work.
I unconsciously look at my right hand where another of my gifts resides: 'Imagine Breaker'.
I sigh in relief because with this I know that it works with mutant abilities.
Don't blame me for thinking like that, after all I've never tested it if it works against a mutant.
I look at the boy and say:
"You don't need to read my mind to know if I'm trustworthy, I'll just tell you that I'll help you the best I can"
At the end of my words the children only look at me, a few seconds later a girl approaches me and tells me:
"Please give me your cell phone, sir"
Without hesitation I give it to her.
Upon receiving my cell phone, the girl held it for a moment then returned it to me.
When she handed it back to me, I look at the screen and on it is the address of the second location.
