Everlasting Promise

"Did you know that the house of Frendro always had a secret" she spoke, all the nobles present were confused. After all the household of Frendro has existed since 'The Sun', because of this they received a lot of respect from other nobles and also from the emperor.

[Yet why didn't they accept the proposal the emperor gave them] The emperor seeing their unraveling faith decided to promote them to the status of marquess, however the count of Frendro rejected it, as disrespectful it is, the emperor said nothing.

It was simple, the both families entered a contracted to each other to keep their secret and marry one to another, the Frendro was supposed to keep the lazuli's curse a secret while the lazuli was supposed to support the Frendro for life.

[however it was forgotten for a long time by the Frendro] The count didn't disclose this secret to anyone on his family which caused the secret to be forgotten by them, but the lazuli's kept a firm book of the Frendro which was passed down generations after generations, the lazuli had no problem with it as long as they kept a secret and never let it get leaked. [Caspian... I am sorry] I barged to the crowd and garbed Aries's hand.

"Wha-" Aries was stunned, I suddenly grabbed her hand and ran away, the nobles too stood and watch it happen "who are you!" she shouted while running away with me, I knew that if I spoke she would know who I am and things will turn into a mess {don't reveal yourself yet} it was his suggestion, but I still knew how strong Aries was compared to me [I KNOW!] I was already tired, Aries was forcing my mana out of me, but I had already cast another spell.

{I already knew that the obedience curse was strong... but to think that a weak ass like you could use it on a person who is stronger than you can expect} 'The Curse Of Obedience' it was a curse used by the tower mages in olden times, Caspian used his mana and mine to cast it on Aries the moment I grabbed her. It was a spell which forced the bonded person to follow the caster, Aries already figured it out and was trying to drain my mana to exhaust me.

[too bad that my mana is unlimited now] as Caspian was giving me his power, my mana's limit had increased, thus it would take years for a person to fully drain it, {hey! I can't hold this for much longer!} of course, that doesn't mean he was gonna be fine...

We reached a silent place with no people in sight [a place in the middle of forest] "Stop this atrocious act now" She glared at me, [even if the appearance changed the person inside will never change...] I stopped and looked back at her. "It's nice to meet you again..." "Aries" she flinched, her voice was breaking. Aries suddenly grabbed my shoulders and stared at me.

"A-Ah RI?" her face brightened, she hugged me happily, [s-so cute] cuteness overload...

{ugh, cringy} Caspian was disgusted, probably because he never received love. "Yu- I mean Aries let me go" my habit of calling her Yuna never changed, "I missed you~" her habit of cuddling never changed too "I know, I too missed you" I hugged her back, I was taken aback to when we were still in Korea. The time when we were always together and happily spend time together.

"I tried many ways to contact you" she let me go "but because the north is closed of i couldn't even get a glance of you" her gloomy personality appeared again, I patted her and smiled "I am sorry I didn't contact you, I can't make many movements because of the ceremony and stuff" it was true, after the ceremony many assassins and spy entered the north, because of this I couldn't do anything even sending a single letter...

The north is closed off by a huge wall of ice, it is also called as the land of glacies (ice). Because of this wall and the check point, not much people could enter the area. Although the shut-off north has become more active in past months, that don't mean that it is fully opened. As Aries is a direct descendant of Frendro and also a high ranking noble, she was prohibited from entering the area. She tried sneaking in but failed because of the watch by knights.

We talked for a while then stopped, she told me about how many times she failed sneaking inside because of my knights who had eyes on their back. "But... why did you stop me back there" she asked me curiously, it was clear to me that she found out the contract between the Frendro and the Lazuli, however it seemed to me that she was not aware that revealing the contract... could end her life

"that contract has infiltrated a curse or should I say 'everlasting promise' in it" she was surprised "if you were to finish that sentence, you would have probably died by now" if the 'everlasting promise' was broken, it would kill that person and their whole family who share the same blood, "b-but!" she exclaimed "I don't know where you found this contract, but it's not something you are allowed to say outside"

No matter how strong the person is, the 'everlasting promise' would kill them. "The book I found didn't have these details..." Aries found these details through a book, and that book belonged to him
