Juliet's Diary

From behind the curtain, I saw a car enter my yard after the gate opened automatically. I smiled when I saw Robin get out of the car. His gaze was directed upwards, toward me, causing me to immediately close the curtain. It's been two hours since I got ready to go with him. I wore a midi dress, denim jacket, and boots. I let my hair down.

As I descended the stairs, I saw Robin already with Mom in the living room. Mom looked at me with sparkling eyes saying,

"Well, honey, you never told me about your 'friend'."

"Hmm… we just met. We're schoolmates." I hastily corrected.

Mom smiled and stroked my hair. "Don't come home too late. It's cold outside too."

"Of course." I waved goodbye and left the house.

"I promise I'll get her back on time, Mrs. Bedington," Robin said in a polite and gentle tone. I don't know why it made me smile even more shyly.
