Divorced

Mandy's Diary Today

It was only one-thirty-two when I reached my parents' house and rang the doorbell several times. I'm waiting for someone to open the door in this cold weather—Mom usually the one who opens the door, while Dad is still at work. I waited, rang the bell, and stared at the snow-soaked toe of my boots.

Time was ticking slow until the door opened, revealing Mom's face who was surprised to see me already standing in front of her.

      "Mandy? Why are you here?"

I looked at Mom for a moment. She's still waiting for me to respond. I didn't want to tell her about this, but I also didn't want to lie to her again or hide the problem in front of her.
