Half the truth

Liliana only had her towel around her when she stared into space in her bathroom, thinking about whether to seek Tristan or not. She had missed him a lot, now that she saw him, she wanted to kiss him and wrap her small body in his but what if he was the enemy? She sighed with her heart racing because she was scared of knowing the truth. Tristan couldn't have been the one behind Richard's death. She trusted him.

"Tristan," her voice was quiet and innocent so he showed himself before her but had his head down.

"You called baby," he lifted his gaze at her to see her searching.

"I love you so much Tristan, deep deep inside my heart, I only yearn for you. I want to always be with you. You are the only man I want but..." She took a deep breath and let her tears flow down her eyes without blinking but staring right into his eyes and he stared back in that guilty gaze.
