Proud Husband

Archer's POV

"Don't run after her, Archer; you will only make her angrier. Let her anger subside before you talk to your wife again." My cousin said when I was about to run after Mariela.

"And what do you want me to do, Kent?" I asked.

"You should reflect on what she told you. Ella said you never make her feel she was your wife, so stop calling her your wife unless you have done your part on how to be a good husband." My cousin responded, and I half laughed as I sat beside him on the grass and beheld the sunrise before us.

" Why should I believe in you when you are still single, and you don't even have a girlfriend," I said, and he chuckled.

"Come on, buddy, I don't need to be a married man to know how to become a good husband. You are lucky I respected you because I could have persuaded Ella and made her my wife." He responded, and I couldn't stop feeling jealous that I wanted to punch my cousin since I felt so desperate to come after Mariela.
