The Bottom Line

Mariela's POV

I opened the windows of my car to feel the fresh air, and I realized how much I missed the scenery before me; I was driving the car slowly as I looked at the vast cacao plantation of Archer's family, and I wanted to close my eyes and savor the moment.

Some of the workers stopped what they were doing, and they smiled and waved their hands at me, and I felt a little better as I waved back and beamed at them. And I wanted to pull over and get some cacao pods and eat the sweet juicy pulp of the fresh seeds, but I didn't have the time, and I only wanted to do it with Archer.

I could see the long road leading to the estate of Kent's family, and I couldn't stop feeling so nervous since I felt worried that Aunt Tamara wouldn't welcome me.
