Who Will WIN Among US?

Alec! " She shook her head, telling herself that he was not a demon, but looking at the eyes of Alec and the strange sound that always followed his voice, her voice was not convincing.

Her fear could be felt by Alec from afar, much less that she was hugging him now.

"What do you want, mother? You let him beat me and fear me, yet when I get beaten you cry like you are hurt!" He tilted his head as he looked into her eyes.

"That.. Alec, why don't you listen to him? If you follow his commands, he will not beat you," she assured him, and he laughed.

This was the most foolish joke he had ever heard.

"You do not understand. Do you? " He shook his head and turned. She knew well that her husband was a beast, yet she always tried to justify him, and they called him a demon just because of his eyes.

He had thought that he deserved only hatred and beatings, but after meeting Jenny today, He did not feel like it anymore.

"Alec, we will talk about it later. Why don't you come with me so that I can treat your injuries?" She did not concentrate on his words but thought about the blood that was still dripping from his body.

No matter what he was, he was still his son. She had given birth to him.

"Do not care about them. You know, I cannot die from these injuries. Isn't that why you let him beat me?" He snarled as he held her hands and jerked them away from his body.

Without saying another word for heeding her words, she turned and left from there.

"Why don't you just sleep? You will feel better, Alec. " Her voice turned loud as he kept walking away, but he just ignored her presence.

Climbing the stairs hurriedly, he walked towards his room and shut the door so that she could not follow him. Though he knew that she would not, she would go to that beast who called him Demon, and then their loud voices would fill the whole house.

Yet, he only felt secure when the room was closed.

As he entered, he heard the knocks from the black box and sighed.

The box kept tapping until he walked towards it and opened it.

"You are too impatient! You didn't even let me wear clothes at first! " He shook his head, but there was a pampering smile on his face instead of anger.

The books that were devoid of life in the morning, when his mother had touched them, bounced from the box as if they were not able to breathe there and were feeling suffocated.

Lying on the bed, the books turned unanimated again. He shook his head and walked towards the closet, taking a shirt out of it.

A soft glow covered his back and the blood stopped dripping from it. Even though the blood stopped flowing the wound was still there as well as the burning sting from the beating.

"Every time you see me injured, you stop my blood but wouldn't heal my skin, though I know that you are very proficient at doing so!" He shook his head as he wore the shirt and walked towards the books.

A faint voice whispered in his ears, "We cannot let them know about our presence. They would know if we healed you!"

"Then why let the blood dry!" Taking the books, he walked towards his study table and sat there when he heard again,

"We did not like the smell of blood. It made us feel hungry, and we did not want to hurt you! " He looked at the books, amused. Should he be thankful that his books were at least not trying to kill him?

"It doesn't matter, I will not survive for long anyway!" he added, as he remembered the fierce eyes of the dragon.

"Ha! Your father did not have the capacity to kill you. Humans are afraid of punishment by law; they cannot kill! They only show their strength when they are scared that you will tell others." There was disdain and hatred in their voices.

Having spent most time with these books, Alec had also learnt to call others as "Humans" like these books refer to them."

"I am not worried about that beast. I am talking about the dragon. I met him again today. We had a fight, and I injured his eyes. He was fierce and followed me all day.

"I did not even blink due to him." he added with a sigh as he leaned his head on the chair, but winced and sat properly when his wounds touched the back.

"That fucking hurts!"

"Ah, the shortie is angry! Don't worry, he will not hurt you. He must be just playing with you. "

"If that was playing, then I may die if he was serious!" Alec sighed as he opened the book and started reading more spells.

"If you are so weak, you'd better start training. Or else you would not be able to survive there. We will leave as soon as we find a way. " The voice softly muttered.

"Mmmm, I am reading more and more spells as you asked me to. I will wait for the day when we are out there. But for now, I have to go and beat that dragon so that he will stop annoying me."

"I am afraid others might be able to find my presence due to him." And before the voice could reply again, Alec closed his eyes and the dragon that had been looking for him since the morning opened his wings and covered the whole sky with it.

"I wonder why you are called a shortie when you are this wide and large!" Alec stared at the beast with wide eyes as he looked no more than an ant in front of the wild beast.

Soon, he whispered a spell and a sword came into his hands.

"Come now, let's decide who is going to rule whom among us!"
