The days ahead were full of loneliness and boredom for Eva since she broke up with Kate. Although they had ran into each other at a time and winked and waved at each other, yet the center between them couldn't hold and would never hold. Kate, being the kind-hearted, soft-loving , ever-forgiving fellow was ready to go on her knees and ask Eva for forgiveness ; she knew she was at fault and had no justification for such secrecy.

She had tried severally to earn Eva's forgiveness but the latter always walked her out or gave her the cold shoulders. She was much infuriated because the boy involved here was her enemy; somebody she despised so much that the mention of his name often made her throw up. She had never hated somebody as such; his ego and supremacy often made her hiss whenever she set her eyes upon him and she wished he passed on from his coma.
