The moment Ivan said that everyone erupted into shouts and questions. 

I saw fear, anger, determination, and so many other things on their faces. Some didn't look surprised, acting like they'd been expecting this, but others looked ready to be sick. They wanted to know when, who, and why, but they were busy talking over each other to let Ivan get a word in. He looked like he was about to use his Alpha tone to shut them up, but I let go of him and stepped forward, placing a finger on my lips and making a shushing sound. I put all the peace and calm I could muster, hoping to distract them enough for Ivan to get their attention again.

However, they all grew silent, staring at me, and I realized I'd accidentally taken control of the room.
