To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. The fact that the ML mentally, emotionally and physiologically abuses his wife yet suffers no consequences is disappointing. Let's not forget that the ML rapes his wife (FL) 2x. The ML give his wife (FL) contraceptives without her consent says a lot about his character. They get a divorce and leaves the FL with nothing. Later he finds she has his child and wants to take custody...blah.
I gave significant thought, through the eyes of his daughter, Joy, what would she think if she found out how her father treated her mother. Then there's also his accomplice who supplied the contraceptives. Both men suffer no consequences. They Tra-lala through the story with ease.
I would have hoped the FL would become stronger, but she doesn't. She allows circumstances to push her to-and fro without much resistance. She has no brain to at least protect herself. She should have recorded or documented his actions and abuses.
Now, the ML is suffering from amnesia, is this how the author plans to avoid an apology, by washing away his memory and thereby his responsibility.
