(Cling Cling Clang Clang sheeeeeesh)
I spent a day convincing Dora Teal, a familiar, level one adventurer, female human blacksmith who wears a monocle, to work for me at my Babel shop.
This using my new human form, that Hephaestus registered as Martel'o Hammers a [high blacksmith] with the DS who trained outside the Hephaestus familia.
(DS stands for development skill, Hephy familia only lets people with the DS blacksmith to stamp the Hephy seal on their products)
In exchange for her being able to use the shop and earn tips and systematic knowledge that I "learned" since I got good deals selling my new level three marketed works, many being semi-magical with simple effects like paralysis, creating a blade of air, and vacuum around the sword, or simply glowing and cleaning itself of monster blood by reducing weapon wear, ideas that would entice adventurers to pay a little more for luxury even if they only cost me a little mana and time.
I also crafted several disposable fire attribute magic swords, but they were just too problematic as I couldn't put much power into them using just one [blacksmith] skill making them just a little above the more common ones made by [high blacksmiths] on the market.
So I simply decided to create enchanted 3rd class weapons that are worth more and bring more reputation, also taking orders for them.
Well, I could totally make a second-class weapon using advanced materials, but I realized, who would buy a second-class weapon that costs millions of varis? much less make in bulk without order, I can barely afford the material price of some decent swords, such money could very well be invested in the base level of 3rd class adventurers who spend much more time fighting, and even if a talent that reaches level 4 appears, he will have to buy a new second or first-class weapon, and who he will go to make/buy one? Yes me.
With the quality and price in my shop, I could very well get a contract and continue to harvest these adventurers.
Also, I continued to visit the Gnomes' library and train at the dungeon, now having the ability to update my Falna every night, it took me only half a month to reach B on my stats by killing a few dozen berserk-cursed goblins and kobolds a day, in a training arc that consisted of cursing my riveted minotaur leather armor stuffed with Almirage fur, into a damage sponge that diminished my dexterity and agility increasing the effects of the armor's resistance and durability, doing my best to deflect few attacks, in addition, to cost hundreds of potions to get to F-rank overall in twenty days with agility and magic coming close to E-rank.
My first "Adventure" like Eina-san would say, was when I strengthened a War-Shadow into a eldritch children by accident.
Maybe I shouldn't have cursed that many at the same time, one of them decided that eating the magic stones on the floor and evolving mid-fight was more important than fighting me with his brothers...
I call this a adventure because, well...
It became fast and able to stretch its arms and body, even dodging a point-blank blow to the torso and managing to break through the armor made of second-tier materials on my arm with its claws.
That's when I managed to grab him off guard with a flaming swipe of my now flaming curved sword, killing him with the drop being a black claw with reddish glowing veins going all the way to the edge.
I still tested how to create strengthened species using my magic...
I planned to try to evolve them in a more magical route, simply because they are stronger and more even if they don't use magic. useful like that, War Shadow being the first Elemental-type monster in the Dungeon,
(at least from my knowledge of the manga, but in the anime, it's possible to see a shadow try to grab Bell when he suffered [Mind Down], and still manage to go unnoticed by two first-class adventurers one being a level six).
Why would a want that? Well, that will be a surprise...
After recovering from the wound on the fifth floor I went to Babel to check out the shop where I received some orders for tier 3 weapons that I marked for adventurers who asked to meet me in my workshop at the Hephaestus Workshop area.
After that, I went back to Orario to change my armor and update my stats as well to place a request for magic stones and claws from War-Shadows under the guise of crafting "enchanted" weapons just in case anyone thinks I'm trying to create monster variants, an act forbidden by the guild.
After spending half a million on a big sack of magic stones and a few claws in the guild I found on my way home a short person wearing a familiar cape coming out of an alley, using [psionic] I could see his aura confused between sadness, happiness, and anger towards herself and others.
I got an idea of who it was when I walked into the alley she came out from and saw a decrepit but clean antique shop selling "second-hand" items, entering it I was more certain to see an old spirit who looked like the definition of a beer-bellied uncle wearing a gnome hat and apron.
"Do you have second-hand, level one gear?" I asked.
He just looked at me and said to look around.
After checking and analyzing the items with the most aura I learned some information, but nothing that would be useful to me now.
I leave the store thinking about capturing the heart of one of my favorite characters. No, now a real waifu.
