As I look at the grand school in front of me, I look at it with weirded-out eyes as if something was wrong that I can't put my finger on.
But I ignored it because this day has been strange enough for me like the weird dream and strange thoughts ranging from coal turning to diamonds and why bees are able to fly even with their fat bodies.
Though my thoughts were soon interrupted by the normal scene of three boys running away from a horde of girls that were wielding wooden swords with their faces having hints of red.
"Sigh, Issei you disappointment, he already has above average looks and if he was just a little more respectful, he might have already achieved his little dream of achieving a harem," I said with a blank stare as I ignored the antics of the perverted trio of Kuoh Academy.
How did they even enter Kuoh Academy?
I could understand why the other two were able to enter even if they were perverts because they were smart, but Issei is just mentally disabled, like will any normal person act like that with their above-average looks?
The more I look at Issei in the distance somehow makes me more annoyed that I'm already rubbing my head in anger which further confused me.
Why are all of these things suddenly happening to me?
The moment I woke up my day has been going… definitely not downhill but more of a strange unconnected path.
But I just ignored all of the irrational thoughts entering my mind and continued my walk towards my classroom in Class 1A.
(A Few Hours Later)
Weirdly enough, throughout the day, I was bored in class and I didn't even bother to take down notes or listen to the class because I already understand the topic with a casual glance at the board or a quick flip through the book given to us which made my day. After all, if I am becoming a prodigy just like Ren, then my life would really turn around for the better.
But as I was looking at the formulas laid out on the board in front of us, a weird formula is started to get created in front of the board in front of me as the symbols and letters move on their own in my field of vision and the whole world around me started to disappear.
Soon, the only thing left in my vision was the formula written in front of me that seems to suck me into a whole different world, the sets of numbers somehow brought a sense of otherworldly forbidden knowledge only known by gods.
"Rintarou! Do you mind answering the question?" shouted the lady in front of me which took me out of my trance with my classmates looking at me with eyes that indicated I was in trouble.
But I was more annoyed because she interrupted the trance I was in, so with a sigh, I stood up to answer the question.
"X is equal to 74 because we interchanged it with V and put it in a fraction by substituting the negative exponent with the power rule and because the numerator is a perfect square, we are able to…" I said with a bored voice with the teacher looking at me with wide eyes because I just used a formula that will be taught later on.
"Good job Rintarou! It seems like you did some advanced reading unlike the other students of this class" said the teacher as the others looks down in embarrassment and I just sat down and ignored the lesson.
After a while, the bell was heard with the others cheering and the teacher let us go take our lunch.
With a yawn, I decided to buy some sandwiches full of vegetables and meat because I can hurriedly eat them and do a part of my workout routine on the school rooftop.
With a yawn, I headed towards the cafeteria by passing by other students who were mostly females because this was previously an all-girls school, though I do wonder why they suddenly switched to co-ed?
Maybe to reduce the number of lesbians and save Japan from losing more people than it already has?
What a silly thought, a single school won't change much the current population Japan has so I just put away those thoughts from my mind and went to buy two sandwiches to quell my hunger because my caloric needs were above average compared to my height because I work out regularly.
With quick steps, I went to the rooftop of the building I was in and just plop down my ass to the ground, unbothered by the uncomfortable feeling, and just went to unwrap my sandwiches to eat them.
"Oh, I could have bought some drinks, oh right, vending machines," I said as I saw the typical vending machine just on the far left of the rooftop and chuckled at how many vending machines there were, even Kuoh Academy is affected by this Vending Machines.
But as I was about to insert the coin, I halted my hands when I knew I could do something more thrilling.
With a quick push of a button and a small nudge to the glass screen, I heard the resounding sound of something hitting the ground which made me wear a wide grin.
"It worked!" I said as I quickly grabbed the green tea that I got for free from the vending machine.
"Uoh! My sealed mark is now truly awakening! I can feel my brain ascending to a higher plane!" I shouted while clutching my left arm that was used to press the button on the vending machine.
"Sigh, I'm so cringe," I said with a sad smile and stood up from my kneeling position to continue eating my sandwich with the drink I got for free with the help of fate.
(A Few Hours Later)
"Groan" I let out from my mouth as I heard the sound of bells ringing and stood up without a second thought to go home because I'm not part of any clubs, why do I even need to join one? It's just a waste of time in my opinion.
"O- Okabe-san, y- you're being called to the student council" suddenly said a girl who entered the classroom with everyone suddenly turning their heads towards me.
"Sigh, let's go," I said with an annoyed voice because I already know why she is calling me.
After a quick walk towards the student council room, we both stayed silent along the way which made her feel uncomfortable but I just ignored it and continued the walk because I was just rumbling in my mind on how stupid the reason is for me being called here.
"H- here we are," said the girl as she quickly ran away and left me alone in front of the wooden door that leads to the student council room.
With me rolling my eyes, I opened the door to see Souna sitting there menacingly as I let out a groan.
"Hello, there Kaichou!" I said with a bright smile with my destitute face now gone.
"Hello there Okabe-san" said Souna as I walk towards her with a wide grin.
"So, are you sure you don't want to join a club?" said Souna with a serious face.
"Yes, Kaichou!" I said with a bubbly cutesy voice.
"Sigh, you know you'll miss out on a lot of the school experience if you don't join a club. All first years have already joined a club and you're the only one who hasn't joined one" said Souna while rubbing her forehead.
"Sorry Kaichou-sama, but I really can't join one," I said with a sad smile that piqued her interest.
"Oh, why can't you join a club? It shouldn't be that hard, if you're shy I could ask a student to help you join one" said Souna with an amicable smile.
"It's because… a dragon is sealed in my left arm!" I shouted with wide eyes with tears dripping down my face and I expected her to chuckle but instead, her eyes widened along with a dangerous aura suddenly exuding from her body.
"A dragon you say," said Souna as her figure started to resemble those of devils which makes me think I was hallucinating.
"Yes! It calls itself Drag" I said which made her eyes widen further.
"Drag?" said Souna with a raised eyebrow.
"Drag de-… you know what, no, I'm joking, I don't have a dragon on my left arm, I'm just too lazy to join a club," I said with a sigh as I just dissuade the idea of doing a funny little joke on her because I might incur her wrath while my teary eyes went back to normal.
"Oh, what were you going to say?" said Souna as the scary aura around her receded replaced with an intrigued smile.
"It's nothing, I just wanted to say a deez nuts joke," I said with a wry smile.
"Oh… oh… you know Okabe-san, I thought you would be more mature than that," said Souna as she let out a chuckle.
"I know, but I'm still not going to join a club!" I said while walking out of the room and she just let me out without a hitch which surprised me because I thought I would have to stay there for a little longer but yay I guess.
