(A Few Hours Later)
As the rays of light pierce through the small holes between the walls and roofs of books, Kira's peaceful face soon started to move as the light directly hit his closed eyelids.
"Yawn" a yawn came out of Rintarou's mouth as he moves his hand towards his eyes but as he did that, he suddenly halted his movement as a sharp pain appeared from his back that made his eyes open wide in pain.
With a deep breath, he slowly got into a lotus position and felt his aching body crying in pain from the torture he had put it into on the hard uncomfortable floor he slept on.
"Sigh, I knew it would be bad. Tch, let's just continue already and go back as Kyouma" I muttered with the books around me got absorbed one by one into a singular gigantic book which was below me and with a swift order, the book continued its long adventure which should only be a few hours left.
"Okay, make a checkpoint at the Magic Kingdom, go back as Kyouma in the Royal Capital and try to make a schedule for my two personas and there is also the chaotic variable of Mister K, I don't know when the two will go out of the dungeon so I should also prepare for that" I muttered while the book flew along the magnificent series of small hills, rivers and ponds, vast forests and more with the wind hitting my face that brought a sense of joy and adventure to my soul.
With animals and beasts passing by my view ranging from gigantic Boars the size of boulders to cute horned rabbits feeding on some fruits, adventuring has never been better when you are riding on a magical book ride along this vast world bigger than earth.
"I- is that the Kingdom of Magic?" I muttered as the surroundings finally became a wide-open field of grass with a kingdom appearing in the distance with a giant castle piercing the skies.
With floating crystals acting as sentries, magical objects and tools wandering about from golems to flying contraptions, traveling merchants coming about like it was normal, rare plants sprouting about that could only appear in the elusive continent of elves, and more that it was like you were entering another world far from those of medieval fantasy.
As I stopped the book on top of a far away from the Magical Kingdom, I gulped from the beauty this place holds that shows prestige and the pinnacle of magic ranging from spells to magical contraptions.
With my long white hair fluttering with the wind that breezes through the meadows of grass, my eyes shone from this magical place, and the things I could experience in this kingdom were elusive to the normal people of this world.
"But I'm too poor to even stay here, the inn cost 10 silver for just one night! Just imagine how much the food cost, or a house! But it is of higher quality and just staying there will benefit any mage due to the higher mana density in the air due to its close proximity to the elven continent and the World Tree, though close is a long shot" I muttered while I started my trek to the paved road with glowing runes around it.
"Holy shit, just the mana on the outskirts of the kingdom would allow me to reduce the time it takes to reach D rank by a few days" I muttered while opening the book beside me to see what the details it holds in regards to the kingdom.
"Nearly everything would be 10 times as much for the cost, but just the sheer amount of magical knowledge I could learn here will offset the cost, I'll just deal with it once I get back here from my time as Kyouma" I muttered while passing by merchants, adventurers, even other mages that are more experienced than me.
I do wonder when the students will arrive here?
School will start in around a few weeks and many will try to join the Magic Academy, a school as prestigious as the Royal Academy, I do wonder why I haven't seen any demi-humans yet, that's basically the bread and butter of Isekai Fantasy.
After a few minutes, I finally arrived in front of the gigantic kingdom and saw the people lining up in front of the gate where mages were standing, they seem to be the guards of the entrance to the inside of the kingdom.
I soon waited for my turn and after a while, the cart in front of me passed through the entrance, and now it was my turn.
"Here's the 1 gold," I said without hesitation while taking out a gold coin from my pocket and handing it to the mage who nodded in response and gave me a pass that would allow me to enter the kingdom whenever I want, the entrance fee is 10 silver coins if you weren't an adventurer but this is for forever so it's better long term.
With the pass now solved, I entered the kingdom without a hitch and as if I passed through a bubble, the mana density suddenly exploded to a level just a few levels below that of the kingdom of Elves that holds the World Tree.
This further impresses me more as the rumors were indeed true in regards to how great the Kingdom of Magic was which made me wonder how powerful the Sage is, the being who was said to reach the pinnacle of magic without any cheats.
"Let's just try to find a place to disappear, for now, I'll join the Mage's Guild later once I am back" I muttered and walked around the kingdom like a country bumpkin because I was as the local residents even snickered on from my back but I didn't care because they're gonna die in the end while I'll live for eternity.
After a quick walk, I already saw how advanced this place was, there were street lights, golems wandering about the open streets, people wearing high-quality clothes along with buildings full of grandeur all around me.
But as I was walking around, I felt my stomach grumbling in response to the smell of fresh bread appearing in the distance which made me chuckle with a wry smile.
I only have 4 gold coins and a few silver left and a piece of bread would probably cost me 5 – 10 copper to buy just one so money is really needed right now.
With a reluctant smile, I went towards the direction of the smell to see it was a bakery selling some bread and a basket of fresh bread was hanging behind the open window, those sly bakery owners, making people hungry and forcing them to buy on your bakery!
After peeking through the windows of the bakery, I saw rows upon rows of bread which made my mouth water in response.
"Sigh, I'll treat myself to a quick meal right now" I muttered with a reluctant chuckle because I still haven't found a barren place to go back as Kyouma.
With a quick glance, I saw that no one was currently inside the bakery and hurriedly entered it so I can order some bread in peace.
As I opened the door, the sound of bells ringing appeared above me which alerted the girl over the counter that a customer has entered.
"Hello!" said the girl with brown hair over the counter as she looks at me with an amicable pleasing smile.
"Hi, how much is this?" I said while pointing at some normal loaf of bread which should be pretty cheap and is enough to quell my hunger.
"That would be 10 copper," said the girl as my heart inside broke at the ridiculous price, this should be around 1 – 3 copper back in the Kingdom of Or.
"Okay, I'll want this please!" I said as I approached the girl and hand her over the 10 copper coins.
"Thank you, sir, please wait a minute," said the girl as she went towards the loaf of bread and put it in a bag of papery material, and handed it over to me, and with that, I got out of the bakery to continue wandering around the kingdom to find a reclusive place to disappear from.
But as I was wandering around munching on my bread, I noticed a certain guild in the distance with the iconic logo of "Adventurer's Guild".
"Huh, I do wonder what it would look like inside?" I muttered and started to walk towards the guild to see the interior of the place until I noticed one guy was handing out some flyers which suddenly made me feel something ominous was about to happen.
"IS this déjà vu?" I muttered and went towards the man.
"Hey, can I get one?" I asked the man who nodded and said "Sure, here you go," and handed me one to see what was inside which almost made me choke on the bread I was munching on the moment I saw the title.
[The 10 Reincarnates Has Slain a Dragon!]
10… 10?!
As I hurriedly look at the picture just below the title, I saw something that almost made my mind explode.
On top of the corpse of the giant red dragon, the 9 reincarnates were standing over the dead dragon with valiant auras… but there was one figure that was oh so familiar to me.
On top of the dead dragon, I, or should I say he, was standing on top of the dead red dragon wearing a lab coat covered in dragon's blood along with a feral grin that shows of a toothy smile with his eyes resembling those of fierce dragons made contact with my very own that shook me to my very core just from the picture alone.
"K- Kyouma?" I muttered with wide eyes as my breath came to a halt from the sheer shock I had just gone through.
