Ch 67 – Running Away

As I was rapidly running towards the kingdom to the west, I wondered what the heroes are doing right now.

From what I found, Don Will Dead is currently gone from the capital so he won't be able to help about the Lich, and the others are also gone and the only one left is Anastasia Melokva, the loli who wields a gun and can destroy armies.

I wonder what her cheat is? And how does Imerda Pinata even have so many abilities?

Hmm, well that doesn't matter, they still haven't found my existence yet with how busy they are.

While I was thinking about the heroes and my current progress, I remembered my fight with the dragon and remembered how fast I have been getting stronger and from my estimates, I would be able to contend with the heroes in just a month and realize how boring it would be.

"Fuck" I muttered as I stopped in my tracks and looked at my system with furrowed brows.

"Wait, the level is the thing that is making me exponentially stronger!" I muttered as I looked at my very high level that got super broken with my enchantments and started to rapidly think.

"If this is a world with no system and the main golden finger are this thing called cheats… fuck it, no levels!" I said with resolved and in an instance, I looked deep inside me and felt that giant pool of exp, and in an instant, I took it out and saw a gigantic ball of exp appearing in my hand along with my strength rapidly decreasing.

"Oh god, this is how much levels made me stronger!?" I said in shock as I felt my strength getting so weak I could one-shot myself if I had my previous levels.

"This means this world will get more challenging and fun!" I said and without hesitation, I put that glob of exp inside one of my random storage spaces and looked at my new status.

"Nice," I said with a smirk and looked at a nearby bolder near me and tried to lift it up with one hand, and surprisingly, I could still do it with ease which shows that I am still above average in terms of physical prowess due to my enchantments.

"Phew, with this change, I would be more dependent on my magic and my cheats," I said as I looked around the open field around me and knew that I needed to make more magic tools for myself and walked towards a tree in the distance and chop it in half.

And as I did that, I grab a large twig, some sticks, some grass, and other foliage around me and after a while, a bow was made that is definitely mediocre in quality but that's where my cheat comes in.

With rapid movements from my fingers, I rapidly wrote down words all around the wooden bow as it gained tons of enchantments like Piercing, Durability, Auto Repair, and in just a few seconds, this wooden bow became a national treasure and felt my strength rapidly getting stronger the moment I grabbed the bow and knew that this will be my long-range weapon for a while.

"Whew, let's go!" I said and continued my sprint that is only a bit slower than before because I didn't use my magic before.

As I run for a few minutes, I saw the kingdom rapidly approaching in the distance with dark clouds and the stench of rotten flesh spreading all around the area as the lush green grass now wilted away to death.

And in the middle of the kingdom, standing there high above the sky was the Lich drape in black robes with his menacing soul fire eyes colored blue.

Surrounded by a horde of undead, I saw the A-Rank Death Nights, the hordes of skeletons and zombies, ghouls, and more that made my soul long for a war against this undead legion.

"HA!" I shouted far away from the kingdom and felt the mana gathering around my bow as a dazzling blue arrow appear on my bow, and as the arrow appeared, I grasp its tail and pulled back the string and felt that it was like a dragon waiting to be release and cause destruction upon the land.

But I didn't stop there as the arrow made of mana started to gain the five elements of fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning and as the Lich finally noticed my beacon of light, it was already too late as I released the dangerous arrow of magic upon his undead legion.

*BOOM!*

As the arrow struck towards the horde of undead, the arrow divided into tons of arrows that holds a weaker amount of power but as they pierce through the legions of undead, it exploded into a cacophony of mana as I watch the kingdom being destroyed in the process along with tons of the higher rank undead.

"Who dares attack this grand Lich!" shouted the Lich high above the sky as I saw its grand dark bony staff with a skull on the end pointing towards me along with a gigantic red magic circle that shot a pillar of flames towards me.

And as I watch the pillar of blazing hot flames shooting towards me, I pulled back the string from my bow and felt an arrow of mana gather and I changed it into the ice element to counter the pillar of flame.

And as my ice blue arrow shot towards the pillar of flames that went on to become a line of ice blue light, it encountered the pillar of flame as an explosion of steam and mana appear between the two elements as an epicenter while I covered my body in mana to protect myself from the explosion.

But while that was happening, I charged more arrows in my bow while my vision changed so that I could see past through the smoke and saw the Lich already charging another spell.

And as it was about to shoot me with another flame spell, I felt the synergy between my bloodline and the ice elements around me as the area around me started to freeze and with a simple change, the arrows of mana on my bow changed into the ice element and instantly shot it towards the Lich in the air.

"Barrier!" shouted the Lich as a barrier of mana instantly appeared in front of it that showed its mastery over magic and watch the air around the floating Lich get covered by freezing cold ice.

And as I prepared to shoot an arrow of flames next to disrupt its vision, I suddenly heard a distinct chant in the air above me and saw a trail of light shot towards the Lich and saw a gigantic explosion appearing when the trail of light hit the Lich and saw that the Lich was pushed back towards the ground.

The moment I saw that explosion and heard the chant, I instantly knew who has appeared.

"Anastasia Melokva," I said and looked behind me to see Anastasia floating high above the air looking at me with cold eyes.

"Who are you?" said Anastasia as she pointed her rifle towards me.

"I am but a simple adventurer dear hero, now, I still have a foe to deal with," I said while I unsheathed my sword that was hanging on my waist and before she could say another word, I disappeared with a boom and appeared at the crater where the Lich was standing and with a swing, I went to make my sword rush towards its neck and with how broken my sword has become, I chop off its skull in an instant and saw that its soul was about to rush out and get another chance at life.

"Hup," I said while cutting the soul with my sword because of once again, broken enchantments and felt the Lich finally dying.

"Oh ho," said Anastasia as she appeared beside me again while her rifle was still pointed towards me.

"Well now that this incident is over, I wish you the best of luck on reviving the citizens of this kingdom with the help of hero Flare," I said and slowly stood up from the crater and walked out with a calm demeanor.

"You still haven't answered my question yet, who are you?" said Anastasia as she shot a bullet near my foot.

"You may call me Kaleido, an adventurer for fun," I said and prepared to go out of the kingdom but then I felt Anastasia rapidly rushing towards me from the back and narrowly dodge her hand that went towards my face.

"Oh?" said Anastasia in surprise as she went for a kick towards my leg with her increased strength indicated by her glowing eyes which I once again dodge.

"May the kind hero Anastasia let me go on my way," I said with an amicable voice while rapidly making distance between us.

"Tell me Kaleido, where did you get that sword and bow, it seems to be made out of normal materials, don't you mind telling it to your Hero," said Anastasia as she rapidly flew towards me at a rapid pace and felt unprecedented calm as I started to analyze what her cheats may be.

"Well hero Anastasia, I made it myself," I said while blocking one of her fast-approaching bullets by making the earth below me become a wall as it exploded into bits and pieces.

"Oh really! Well, why don't you let me see your face!" said Anastasia as she rushed through the smoke and saw that her hand was going for a grip to grab my mask and take it away.

"Well, you forced me to do this!" I shouted as she stopped in her tracks preparing to defend what was about to come but that was her downfall as I used my big brain to!

"Secret Technique! RUNNING AWAY!" I shouted and before she could process what was happening, I cast invisibility, enhance my speed, cast a smoke bomb, and more that obstructed her vision and also things that would bring me more time to run away.

"W- what!" said Anastasia as she swung the smoke away and by the time she could see again, I was already far away from the kingdom while having a mad cackle.

"HAHAHAHA!" I cackled in mad glee as I rushed away from the kingdom and onto the forest far away from the capital and kingdom and plan to hide there for a week because fuck the capital, I'm pretty sure they're going to conduct a search for me and I'm a pro from running away from my problems, life in the grand forest here I come!
