Ch 55 – A Melodic Tune

"Phew, 10 minutes left before the stream," muttered Rintarou as he entered his room and was greeted with Aranea eating a bowl of bugs inside her little cage.

"Ngh, I guess I have to put on the sound proofer on the walls so I don't disturb Yuki and Alicia" muttered Rintarou as he sat on his chair while the walls suddenly got covered by some black soundproofed materials and turned on his computer.

"So we have about 10 minutes to practice for the unarchived karaoke stream this night, sigh, it's really unfortunate that they appeared at exactly the same time we will do our first singing stream together, but I can manage with the help of quirks," said Rintarou while turning on his computer while a small bubble of air surrounded him that slightly blocks the sound just like his soundproofed walls and estimated that this should be enough for the stream.

And as his computer booted up, he opened Biscord and started a call with Nari and soon, both of them started to talk with each other.

"Hey, I just realize but you can just actually stay inside my room for the collab, but you can't stream your perspective though because you can't bring your computer with you," said Nari.

"Hmm, why not, it will erase the problem of stream lag, well I'm going to your house now, wait a sec," said Rintarou as he announced that he won't stream to his fans and they should instead go to Lily Sayuri, and after doing that, he willed his powers to activate to teleport in front of Nari's room.

Soon, he appeared right in front of Nari's room and knock on her door and heard it opening in an instant.

"Come in, I have an extra chair over there," said Nari as he nodded and drag the chair over towards her computer and soon, he looked at the time and knew that they won't have time for practice and sighed in response.

"Welp, I guess we gotta wing it then," said Rintarou with a smile while Nari chuckled.

"Don't worry about it, you have a great singing voice so it shouldn't be a problem" said Nari.

"Mmm, well we should put on our face mask already," said Rintarou while taking out his face mask from his pocket with Nari doing the same, and soon, both Rin and Lily Sayuri, their online personas are now in play as they were about to do a fun little singing stream.

"I'll be playing the intro right now, you sure you don't need to pee?" asked Nari as she sip on some water.

"No, but do you think we would gain another random neighbor? My uncle was acting sus when I visited him a while back" said Rintarou while also sipping on some water.

"Who knows, the day has been insane enough already, and you still need to explain your little joke on Twatter a while back," said Nari.

"Yes ma'am!" said Rintarou with a chuckle while Nari started the stream.

"Yo," said Rintarou to the chat.

"Welcome back everyone, so due to some… circumstances, Rin will be instead not streaming and will instead just be singing along here with me," said Nari.

"Go on," said Nari while nudging his elbows with Rintarou coughing in response to take the chat's attention.

"Eh herm, so if you guys were following me on Twatter, you might have seen this little tweet," said Rintarou while borrowing Nari's computer and showed them his little tweet.

"So as you guys know, school has started once more and as a little treat for our dear little Lily," said Rintarou as he started to explain that they are not dating.

"But are we dating? No, source? Trust me bro" said Rintarou with a gremlin-like laugh while Nari rolled her eyes with the chat rapidly typing like a raging river.

"We're not dating," said Nari as a matter of fact with Rintrarou's little mischievous joke now destroyed.

"Eh herm, yes, we're not dating, so enough about that useless drama, so let's make the list of songs already," said Rintarou while opening notepad on Nari's computer with the both of them starting to pick out some songs.

(BIG FUCKING PLOT TWIST, MELODY POV)

Inside the third apartment just beside Rintarou's and Nari's own house, one girl was seen peacefully sleeping for a good while already as Melody went into a deep slumber just after school ended.

"W- what?" said Melody as she woke up from her deep slumber and heard the familiar notes of music that her quirk has a particular liking to that just made her want to hum to the beat.

"Wait what?" said Melody in confusion as she looks out the window and saw that the two other apartments beside her having their lights turned on and was surprised, and as the faint light hit her face, it seems like she was hiding her true beauty all along under those glasses like her 4 new neighbors at school.

"Didn't she say I have no neighbors? Ngh, I know, this is probably revenge for me suddenly taking a long vacation" muttered Melody as she seems to be hiding something and slowly stood up with wrinkled clothes and messy bed hair.

"Yawn, I guess I should greet them while they're awake," said Melody with a yawn and turned on the lights inside her bed and saw guitars, a singing booth, some professional stuff needed to produce music, drums, flutes, a piano, and some random instruments all around her room.

"I wonder what they're like" muttered Melody as she headed out of her room and house and met the cold snow and went towards the house where the music is playing and heard two people singing and was surprised at how good it actually was, especially the male singer as it somehow puts her into an illusion that makes her body feel lighter with his voice, just like how her quirk makes her fans be riled up when she sings on stage.

"Sigh, even after a few weeks I still can't find her, she said she needed to go to Seoul and find her childhood friend, but ay, I get to have a vacation in Seoul as an excuse," said Melody with a chuckle and stood in front of Nari's house and knock on the door, but as her hand touched the door, it opened on its own and was greeted by the sight of Nari's living room.

"H- hello?" shouted Melody as her face was finally fully seen with a great source of light, with shining blue eyes, messy blond hair that reaches just below her shoulders, with a youthful like temperament that exudes energy from appearance alone, it seems like she can rile up a crowd with ease.

"Umm, sorry for entering," said Melody to nobody as she warily entered the room and saw a nice cozy interior and heard the music coming from upstairs so she headed up the stairs and stood in front of the door and heard a familiar song.

And as she put her grip on the handle, she opened the door and couldn't help but sing along with the duo singing inside the room.

(Daddy Daddy do start playing)

"♫Daddy, daddy, do. Hoshii nosa anata no subete ga. Damasaretara sore demo ii motto furuwasete. Misetekure boku dake ni egao no ura made. Ai ni dakare giragira moete shimaitai ♫" sang Melody as her quirk subconsciously activated and with that, as if the trio was summoned to another world of music, they imagined themselves to be in a field of red crimson flowers of love with the duo not noticing the figure appearing at the door that was luckily blocked from the cameras with Rintarou's luck doing its magic once more.

AN: Boy do I love how simple this novel is, its like a fun little slice of life novel with no enemies, no complicated plot, just pure simplicity.

Until the later arcs of course where I will have to do some big brain time and start doing some complicated stuff and do I want to strangle how complicated time, space, alternate and parallel universe, multiverse, timelines and just fuck time and space.
