Any decision in that place followed certain rules; chaos wasn't an option, especially in the military unit where Gu Ning was stationed.
"You seem distracted lately. What are you thinking about?"
Li Jia sat down next to Tang Yuxin, placing her lunch box on the table. She glanced at Tang Yuxin's lunch box: a scoop of white rice, a serving of fried greens, no trace of meat to be seen.
"Is this all you're eating?"
Unabashed, Li Jia took a piece of green vegetable from Tang Yuxin's bowl and put it into hers. She took a bite. It was bland. She took another bite, yep no flavor. Three bites and still nothing.
How on earth could Tang Yuxin eat this?
"Eating too much meat is hard on the stomach."
Tang Yuxin continued eating her meal with chopsticks, showing no sign of feeling sorry for herself. Too much rich food could get tiresome, a plain meal could have its own charm.
